"There are teams that are fair-haired, and those that aren't so fair-haired. Some teams are named Smith, some Grabowski. We're Grabowskis."
~ Mike Ditka, Head Coach of the Chicago Bears, January 1986
2) We're going to dive right into politics. If you want the story - and it is a GREAT one! - behind Ditka's so-politically incorrect claim, do Czech out this article (did you see what I did there?).
3) My people - you know, the Scopellitiskis - are from the South Side of Chicago. I know the Grabowskis. They're rough, ready, hard-driving, hard-working, hard-drinking, hard-patriots. You do NOT disrespect America around them. They'll give you what for. Seriously.
4) And I know why the Grabowskis ended up on the South Side of Chicago. Same reason my grandfather Pasquale did. Work. He worked IN the yards, the yards of the Santa Fe Railroad. But, he lived in the BACK of the yards, the ghettos that rimmed the largest trainyards in the world.
5) I suspect that @shestokas' family was smarter than ours. Rather than working for the yards, his family sold beer to the rest of us. Now, my grandfather was a Pabst man. So, Shestokas having sold Schlitz, I don't know if they'd have crossed paths or not. No matter.
6) @shestokas sold his first case of beer at age 5, and over the decades had to have been in half of Chicago's then 4,500 taverns and liquor stores with deliveries. He supplied picnics and parties as soon as he got his driver's license. Now that's true Grabowski stuff.
7) What’s more, and more important, and here’s the politics of it…he is a COOK COUNTY GUY. He speaks the language. He knows the people and the neighborhoods. And he is EXACTLY what the Republican Party NEVER brings to the table. They bring Smiths, not Grabowskis.
8) Now why might that be? Why do the Republicans so happily lose with Smiths, when it would so obviously take a Grabowski to win? The answer is equally obvious. The Republicans couldn't care less about Grabowskis any more than they care about winning.
9) By the way, while the normal Grabowski is nominally a Democrat, note that word, "nominally." It basically means it's just a name, a label. And sure, when they vote, that's how they tend to vote. But note that word, "tend." They do NOT trust the Democrat machine. They're smart.
10) If they could trust a Republican, knowing that he stood for them, and for real law and order, and would not sell his power to highest bidder, the Grabowskis would come out and vote in force. In fact, I predict they will. They're voting for their guy, @shestokas.
11) Let's talk about that, seriously. What did we learn in 2016? We learned a lot. One thing we learned was that a candidate who speaks from his heart to the people can win their support. That's what Trump did. And he brought out voters no one knew voted.
12) We also learned that rallies rally votes. I couldn't count the number of times I read or heard or debated whether or not rally goers would show up at the polls to vote. "Have you watched a rally," I always asked. "No." "Watch one and then you tell me," I'd sardonically reply.
13) Grabowskis love parties. Beer selling @shestokas knows how to party. His people will come. And vote. But let's turn to Brexit for another lesson learned. Find the hidden voter. That's precisely what @shestokas' Grabowskis are. They're hidden, but not for much longer!
14) That's where YOU come in. You, and just $27 if you can find it in your heart to help us. This weekend, we need ONLY 20 of you to sign on and help, as we need to reach 60,000 voters digitally. Yep. $27 for 3,000 digital outreaches. Just 20 of you.
15) @shestokas and his team of digital wizards not only know exactly how to reach every Grabowski, they have ascertained that they need - don't ask me why! - ONLY 60,000 such outreaches this weekend, these days before the primary on June 28.
16) In case you think, "Self, why would I contribute $27 to a candidate for Illinois AG when I don't even live in Illinois?" I have answers I've written up for you, already. This really is a national contest. Illinois matters that much. I'll give you the links below...
Tomorrow we'll discuss polling and how they're missing the hidden voters. And yes, we'll ask again for just $27! And ONLY 20 of you for this weekend!!!
Cheaters are boring. Their illogic is stupid and insulting. It leaves a bad taste in the mind. But someone has to call these cheaters on their fake polling, and that is my job.
2) We have to begin with the math. They called 677 Likely Republican Voters. (More on that below...) Half in Chicago, half in the rest of the state. Chicago has almost 4 million people, Illinois almost 13. But half and half, eh? Can you say slanted...a little slanted?
3) Now we're told that our man @shestokas hardly even makes the race, whereas DeVore and Kim have 20 and 18%. Hmm. How is this explained? Wait til you hear!
My $27 buys 3,000 Incredibly Powerful Digital Outreaches
There are two things here I’ve never done. The first is to make a political cash donation. The second is to ask you to do the same thing, and to ask two others to do so too.
2) Dave Shestokas is, to my eye, one of the most important candidates in America today. He is precisely the kind of man we want in public office in general, and in specific he is flawlessly qualified to become the Attorney General in Illinois.
3) A peerless Constitutional scholar, Dave is 100% dedicated to MAKING CRIME ILLEGAL AGAIN. Let's focus on a single type of crime, one that has national implications: Election Fraud in 2024. With Dave as Illinois AG the Fraud Machine will quiver with fear. I mean that.
It is part of the playbook to create chaos and destruction, when what you wish to do is topple a society. Consider this video from 2020:
2) Who could have imagined that the wealthiest part of Chicago's downtown might be subject to such lawless violence. How can our nation lose sight of the fact that without law there is no freedom? It truly boggles the mind, and be clear, we face precisely such and worse, today.
3) In coming analysis, we're going to learn a great deal more about the office and obligations of the Attorney General, and specifically Illinois' AG. But there is something profoundly general, national about this topic. Every one of us faces loss of freedom through lawlessness.

Today’s earlier analysis #ShestokasForIlAG generated a tremendous response. It got dramatically higher impressions numbers than I’ve been getting, lately. But the private response was off the charts.
2) The most important, though, was an extensive conversation I had with @shestokas. In it, he explained what may well be the ultimate reason his candidacy for Illinois AG is a national matter. I'll connect that conversation to my beloved polling site below.
3) One of the most important powers that the AG has in Illinois has to do with his function during elections. Consider the election corruption that the Chicago Machine holds sway over. Now, imagine an AG ready and willing to fight them to protect true vote integrity.
@shestokas represents more than a pivotal point for Illinois. He represents a pivotal point for America. The Medievals had a beloved principle: As above, so also below. We’re going to explore that in Dave’s context, for America AND Illinois. Please read on…
2) For the Medievals, one of the most important aspects of that principle was the living presence of God’s will. They believed that what we see around us, here below, was the literal embodiment of God’s thoughts. To know His will, they studied its material expression here, below.
3) It is rarely taught, anymore, that all the roots of today’s scientific method harken back to the search for God’s Natural Laws. The Medievals were not done, though, seeing Divine Will from above. They inverted their statement. As below, so also above, they said.
In diagnosis, we differentiate between DESCRIPTION and PRESCRIPTION. To understand Master Sun's morality, you must go DESCRIPTIVE first, before PRESCRIPTION of any sort.
I'll explain...
2) In my coaching work, and when my clients blunder into war, they almost never believe that their enemy is actually an enemy, for whom lying is a moral mandate. Truth is, at first, they almost always land in the land of denial. "How could he lie to me like that," they ask?
3) We've blundered, ourselves, instantly into philosophy, and more specifically, metaphysics. For the ancient Greeks, physics was all about what IS. Metaphysics was about what SHOULD BE. Meta meaning "over" or "above" or "the goal." How SHOULD things be?
