As I've said, I am 54yo and I can barely watch films or TV shows these days because they are about either high school students or people who are 31 years old.

On Thursday: my flight from Montreal to Atlanta was. cancelled and rebooked for Friday. It was among approx 6,000 cancelled or delayed flights into/out of the U.S.

On Friday: my rebooked flight was cancelled again. It was among the approx 3,300 cancelled flights into/out of U.S.
Send calm and relaxation...
Three weeks ago, I almost missed my flight out of Dublin because of long lines at the airport.

This past Wednesday, I went to the airport in Amsterdam about 4 hours before departure time so that I don't miss my flight.

Returning home later today from Amsterdam, where I gave a lecture on sexual liberation & bodily autonomy.

I told the audience I came with a warning from their future: the end of #RoeVWade will affect the entire world. It will embolden theocrats globally.

I'm so fucking enraged.
I said this when Trump was elected and I am saying it again as #RoeVWade is about to be overturned:

U.S. feminism has failed.
The same arrogance and naiveté that made so many white Americans think Trump would never become president is that same arrogance and naiveté that made so many think "it would never happen here" about abortion bans as well. #RoeVWade

In 1996, I had an “illegal” abortion in Egypt and in 2000 I had a “legal” abortion in the US. I share my stories because I know how long it took me to share them and how many others need to hear them (as I did). #OurAbortionStories Mona holding up a sign saying I have had two abortions.
I was not raped. I was not sick. The pregnancies did not threaten my life. I did not already have children. I just did not want to be pregnant. I did not want to have a child. And so I had two abortions. feministgiant.com/p/abortion-is-… #OurAbortionStories
When abortion is “illegal,” it does not make it rare nor eradicate it. It  makes it dangerous and often deadly for the poorest and most vulnerable people who can get pregnant. I could afford the doctor’s fee for getting a safe, “illegal” abortion. #OurAbortionStories
