The government abused the
Public Health Act, to implement Lockdowns without parliamentary scrutiny. Make sure it never happens again.

Remove section 45R from the PHA 1984, to prevent misuse of the urgency procedure to implement regulations without parliamentary scrutiny, all references to section 45R should also be removed.
The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 was enacted without an impact assessment & parliamentary review was undertaken post implementation. There is increasing evidence that lockdowns & other NPIs caused harm to large numbers of people.
Children's education was harmed, medical treatment delayed and people's health & fitness substantially reduced. Isolation caused mental health issues, especially for children, elderly & those living alone.
If this clause is not removed the government could lock us down for covid again, for #monkeypox or anything else they they decide needs to be done urgently for our health.

In March 20 @GOVUK locked us down with The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020, this legislation received no parliamentary scrutiny.
They did this using section 45R of the Public Health Act

There is a perception that the Coronovirus Act was used for this and our rights returned when this was repealed. That is far from the truth, nearly all of the COVID related secondary legislation used the HPA not the Coronovirus Act.
Section 45R allowed the government to
constantly amend the regulations and bring in new regulations without parliamentary scrutiny.

My petition:

Recover all vaccine damage compensation Payments from the manufacturers
Ensure all covid vaccine damage payments & all costs associated with cases are recovered from the manufacturers. All indemnity agreements with manufacturers should be terminated.
It is good news that covid vaccine damage victims are finally being compensated. 1200 potential victims have submitted claims so far, if successful these alone could cost taxpayers £156m.
