SCOTUS:

"New York’s proper-cause requirement violates the Fourteenth Amendment by preventing law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs from exercising their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms in public for self-defense."

Beautiful work by Justice Thomas.
Here, Justice Thomas told Heller and McDonald to hold his beer.
The Bruen opinion tries to make this crystal clear for creative leftists waiting in the shadows: when #2A plain text covers an individual’s conduct, the Constitution presumptively protects that conduct. A heavy burden is on the gov to justify the deprivation.
My prediction-- the new attempt at deprivation of #2A rights by Congress won't hold up in court. Certainly not after the Bruen opinion.

Solutions:
1) Abstinence
2) Prophylactics
3) Vasectomy
4) Oral contraceptive pills
5) Responsibility

And many, many more...
Babies don't just happen like oops.
Rape is different, very, very different. But we have oral contraceptive pills that will stop the egg from developing in the event of a pregnancy. There is no need to first allow a baby to develop in full and then kill the baby. There are many options earlier than 2nd trimester.

A police officer leaks to the media that “Patriot Front” includes more than one informant.

Reporter: “But how did you know?”

Officer: “We have informants.”

(It’s toward the end of this video.)
(This “Patriot Front” is a tiny group with a disproportionately high rate of Twitter attention.)

A few of the members have been arrested before. It’s possible they’re working down their charges. OR police have actual undercover officers in the group. unicornriot.ninja/wp-content/upl…
Are there actual Nazis or Nazi wannabes in this group? Probably. But the number is infinitesimal and the members don’t stick around. (Check out complaints about attrition.)

Not a group of big concern, considering they remain better behaved than Antifa. And need protein powder.

I’m only against masking healthy people.

Sick people should stay away from healthy people until they’re better or wear a mask.

This *observational study* is of sick people & similar to the viral load studies— more virus, more sick. But it’s specific to sick people.
Each state has legitimate legal authority over the sick. This is very different than what politicians were doing during Covid, which was unlawfully detaining and controlling the healthy.
Assuming the observational study is correct — Sick people who don’t want more viral load should stay home to minimize their mask wearing.

(In other logical news — sick people should stay home to be responsible members of society and not wantonly risk getting others sick.)

People: active shooter protocol is opposite of hostage situation protocol. In one scenario you storm in while in the other you wait patiently.

I’m seeing comments arguing these strategies as if these two are interchangeable. They’re not.
From @TheIACP

"In active shooter situations where ongoing deadly force is reasonably likely... immediate action by officers at the scene is necessary when such actions are deemed reasonable to prevent further injuries or loss of life."

Here is the active shooter model policy. theiacp.org/sites/default/…

No words. ImageImage
I’m going to sleep on my words. But nothing kind is at the tip of my tongue right now. I am beyond enraged.

As I’ve said time and time again:

Protect Our Children and DEMAND Armed, Trained School Security

My column from 2018–
townhall.com/columnists/mar…
Why is it that we do not protect our most precious humans like we protect our banks, or police stations, or courthouses? Why are Americans so lackadaisical when it comes to school security measures?
I believe that an overwhelming majority of parents value their children’s lives above all else. That’s how humans survive - we protect our children so that they can live on and have their own children, and so on.
