Here's the lowdown of what happened in #JohnnyDepp v. #AmberHeard today: the hearing started with Elaine Bredehoft asking about a briefing schedule for post-trial/post verdict motions. Judge Azcarate said something to the effect of @LawCrimeNetwork

"We don't do that" and mentioned that EB has been practicing there for 20 years. EB wanted to schedule hearings. Judge Azcarate said "I've had this case for 18 months and we had a 6-week trial. We don't need a hearing." EB said "Your Honor can decide on the papers"

Judge A said, "absolutely." EB said something about the post-trial motion being ministerial. Judge A said "this judgement is final today... I'm putting final on the order." @LawCrimeNetwork

Ben Chew and Andrew Crawford appeared in court for #JohnnyDepp. BC said, "We won't be filing any post-trial motions. We will be responding to Ms. Heard." BC notes Exhibit A on the judgement. JD's objection to it. See below:

many objections to the judgement are listed, including the fact that JD was found liable for statements made by his lawyer, Adam Waldman, to the Daily Mail in which he said the 5/21/2016 911 call was a hoax. Also called $2M judgement excessive. So, JD preserving options?

AH has said she will appeal. Judge A. notes that in order to do so, she has to post a suspension bond - the judgement $10.35M plus 6% interest annually. EB said she wants to address bond in post-trial motions. Judge A said the bond must be posted @LawCrimeNetwork

Judge A. also said she noticed EB et al filed things under seal. There was discussion that everything really became unsealed when the trial started and that she intended to unseal EVERYTHING. At end of hearing, EB said to Judge A @LawCrimeNetwork

"I hope Your Honor had a nice vacation." Judge A. walked out. Hearing concluded. AH has 30 days to file suspension bond and appeal. @LawCrimeNetwork

@LawCrimeNetwork Judge A. is always no-nonsense. Today, she was even more so and seemed like she was having none of what EB was saying. I asked EB afterward whether she would come outside since our camera was out there and whether she had anything to say. She politely said no. @LawCrimeNetwork
