Do you realize how many henchmen it'll take just to dry clean all those gold lame & fur bikinis and hairspray all those bouffants? This is why you'll never make the Supervillain big leagues
Meanwhile at D.A.V.E. (Diabolical Arch-Villain Enterprises) we offer qualified bikini assassin girls:
* generous salary
* full benefits and 401k
* free bikinis and ray guns
* ransom sharing plan
* staff of onsite hench-eunuchs for personal services
Just blows my mind how all you basic-ass supervillain wannabes can't think these things through, and why 94% of all supervillain startups fail within their first year
Please forward resumes to @sarahbellumd, SVP and HR coordinator of the Iowahawk Bikini Ninja Assassin Force #IBNAF#IHBNAF
I did offer this for a while, but honestly I found that 99% of MBA (Master of Bikini Assassination) programs are a complete waste of time & money, and their grads all act entitled to the executive plotting room
All these people in my mentions be like "well when *I* start my supervillain organization..." like a bunch of high school benchwarmers planning what Lamborghini they're going to buy when they're an NBA lottery pick. Look dorks, if you want to be a supervillain embrace the grind
Instead of daydreaming about assembling bikini assassin girls, y'all need to start developing the charisma, intimidation, and out-of-the-box threat planning skills that will get you there
That's why if you or your child is an aspiring supervillain, I encourage enrolling in the Dave Burge Supervillain Basic Fundamentals Camp. $1895 adult/ $1495 for kids 14-17. July and August sessions in Austin are filling up quickly, so reserve soon

My Chicago/ Palm Springs pals Gary & Joan made a documentary about Tex-Mex legend Trini Lopez, and it's really good
Everyone associates Trini Lopez with folkie stuff like "If I Had a Hammer," but early on he was a hard boppin' Texa rock n roller, pals with Buddy Holly. His first single here for Volk Record (Dallas), recorded at Norman Petty's studio in Clovis NM
Spoiler alert: Frank Sinatra had Trini Lopez killed off in the Dirty Dozen. Lopez was a huge money maker for Sinatra's Reprise record label and the movie filming was keeping him out of the studio too long. Sinatra pressured the studio to release him.
Let's play two! A salute to the great Ernie Banks from #DavesCarIDService. Before free agency and $20 zillion contracts, MLB players often had off season jobs, even Mister Cub. In Ernie's case, selling Plymouths, like this 61-62 Valiant Slant 6.
Ernie was good enough at selling cars that in 1967 he landed his own Chicago Ford dealership with business partner Bob Nelson, a former Tuskegee Airman. He was the second African American new car dealer, and first for Ford.
Hopefully all of you know the drill at this point: please use the #DavesCarIDService hashtag on your ID requests, try to stick to old family photos and wilderness heaps, and check your politics at the door. Get it? Got it? Good.
Happy Saturday from #DavesCarIDService! Thanks to friend of DCIDS and Ford Motor Company archivist @tedryan64, I found my heaps' graduation photos at Henry Ford High:
A Roadster, Class of '29
A Coupe, Class of '31
B 5 Window Coupe, Class of '32
3 Window Coupe, Class of '35
Can't forget the baby of the Dave's car family, Thunderbird Convertible, Class of '66.
Thanks to the hard work of Ted and his crew, the Ford Heritage Vault image library is now online - with 1000s of photos and brochures from 120 years of Ford history. fordheritagevault.com
Before getting to today's mystery cars, here's my weekly bla-bla-bla reminder to: use the hashtag in your ID requests, focus on those great old family album pics, and NO POLITICS please.
And if you're a regular, I hereby deputize you to gently remind noobs of the guidelines.
my Great Grandma, hot rod pinup girl (1916-23 Ford Model T touring btw)
I will thank you to keep your comments gentlemanly
*triangulating from car & license plate, the year would have to be 1920. Iowa yearly alternated dark on light / light on dark plates during '20s, and went to county prefix plates in 1922. If 22 or later would've had a 97- or 75- prefix.
