Testifying today is Cassidy Hutchinson, former aid to White house chief of staff for the then president Trump, Mark Meadows.

The line of questioning is setting up the fact that Ms. Hutchinson was intimately involved in the daily needs of President Trump as well as Mark Meadows. She was not a "low level assistant".

Ms. Hutchinson had a meeting with Rudy Giuliani on Jan 2nd, in which Rudy was super excited about Jan 6th's event at the capitol. Meadows said it could get "real bad". Hutchinson felt scared.

Ms Hutchinson said John Ratcliffe wanted NO part in any dealings post election. He didn't want to fight the results of the election. He felt there would be dangerous precedents set if he got involved

Rudy knew about the plan on Jan 6th.

The National Security Advisor called Cassidy Hutchinson and wanted to speak with Mark Meadows about potential violence that would happen on jan 6th.

Ms. Hutchinson and others in the White House knew that many weapons (guns, batons, knives, etc)were discovered in D.C. on January 5th.

There were multiple MAGA protestors in trees with AR-15s, and glock style handguns on January 6th. - D.C. police radio comms.

Other weapons found: knives, guns, spears at the end of flag poles, bear spray.

Mark Meadows, upon hearing about all the weapons found on Jan 6th, didn't even look up from his phone initially.

According to Ms. Hutchinson, Trump was furious because he wanted the arena to be maxxed out in capacity, and it wasn't. Lots of people didn't want to go through the metal detectors. (because they had guns and other weapons).

Trump: "I don't effing care if they have weapons. Let them in. they're not here to hurt me. Take the Mags (metal detectors) away".

Trump knew there were guns. He knew they weren't there to hurt *him*. Still was happy for them to march to the Capitol. He asked the secret service to remove the magnetometers.

Wow.

Knowing they had guns and body armor, Trump said "I'll be there with you. We're gonna walk down to the capitol".
Ms. Hutchinson was told the security at the capitol wouldn't be enough to handle the rioters. She went to Mark Meadows and he shut the door on her. Twice.

Once she finally told Meadows, he didn't have a reaction. He only asked how much more time was left in Trump's speech.

White House Counsel, Pat Cipollone, was worried about Trump obstructing justice, defrauding electoral count, enciting a riot, if the rioters were allowed to go to the Capitol.

The Secret Service told Trump he would not be going to the Capitol, after his speech. Trump blew up, and was irate. Trump said "I'm the effing president. take me to the capitol now." secret service said no. Trump GRABBED THE STEERING WHEEL.

Then Trump attacked the secret service agent, Mr. Angle. HOLY SHIT

Ms. Hutchinson just testified that Trump attacked a secret service agent.

Name correction. Trump attacked Robert Engel, the special agent in charge of Trump's security on January 6th.

Trump threw his lunch against the wall that day as well. Ms. Hutchinson wiped catchup off the wall. Trump was throwing temper trantrums, and apparently wasn't the first time he threw plates in the dining room. "Several times" he threw dishes or flipping the table.

A 10 minute recess has been called. But can we talk about Trump being a big huge baby?

Trump's own Secret Service Agent was attacked by Trump in the Presidential car, aka "the beast" just after the Jan 6 Rally. #January6thHearings

Trump also threw a plate at the wall after the AG gave an interview saying there was no fraud in the election.

White house Counsel told Trump that marching on the Capitol was illegal. They knew it would be violent. Trump knew his actions on the stage, whipping up a crowd to march on the Capitol, would be law breaking.

Roger Stone's security was provided by the OathKeepers on Jan 5th. ...whaaat?

Ms. Hutchinson did not want Meadows to go to the Willard to discuss plans for Jan 6th with Roger Stone and Rudy Giuliani, and General Mike Flynn

General Flynn, when asked if he thought the violence was justified on January 6th, he took the 5th.

Mark Meadows didn't seem to care that rioters were headed to the Capitol building when Ms. Hutchinson told Meadows they were getting close.

Ms Hutchinson overheard The President, Mr. Meadows, and White house counsel talking about the "Hang Mike Pence" Chants. Counsel urged Meadows that something needed to be done. Meadows echoed Trump's position that these people weren't doing anything wrong.

Donald trump said "Mike deserves it" and "Those rioters are not doing anything wrong" when white house counsel was concerned about the "Hang Mike Pence" chants.

Ms Hutchinson called Trump "Unamerican" and "Disgusting" when Trump tweeted a condemnation of Mike Pence at 2:24pm on Jan 6th.

Matt Pottinger, then Deputy National Security Advisor, immediately resigned when President Trump tweeted his 2:24pm "Mike Pence didn't have the courage" tweet on January 6th.

Secretary Devos also resigned. "There's no mistaking the impact your rhetoric had on the situation, and it is the inflection point for me"

Secretary Elaine Chow resigned at that moment too.

Ms. Hutchinson said Ivanka wanted the rioters to leave the Capitol building.

Laura Ingraham told Mark Meadows via Text that Trump was ruining his legacy.

Trump finally released a video after 4pm telling rioters to go home ONLY because the cabinet was discussing using the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office as President.

on January 7th, Trump still didn't think the rioters didn't do anything wrong, and wanted to give them pardons.

Mark Meadows asked Trump for a pardon related to events on January 6th. So did Rudy Giuliani.

Trump has just been outed as part of the Jan 6 committee that he has been engaging in witness tampering. #Jan6Committee

Congratulations Trump. This is the biggest political scandal in US history. Trump should be UNDER a prison.

Session adjourned for the day. Trump should be COOKED after today's testimony, legally speaking. He's done.
