Sr Adv Singhvi mentions the matter.

Singhvi: I am mentioning a matter for an illegal floor test. Floor test cannot include names which are stigmatized. I want a hearing late evening. Votes which cannot be counted will be counted. The entire exercise will be futile.

Singhvi: We will file in the afternoon. And we want to be accomodated later in the day, 5 or 6 pm.

Justice Kant: The floor test is tomorrow?

Singhvi: Yes it is tomorrow, starting at 11 am.

Justice Kant: We will need a paper book. How do we..

Singhvi: That is precisely why I am seeking time. Your Lordships will have everything by 3-4 pm. The entire paperbook.
Your lordships are under the understanding that the hearing is on July 11, at the same time..

Singhvi: they are seeking floor test.

Kaul: It is for the Governor to answer. It is the government’s prerogative. The pendency of the disqualification is no where to restrain the floor test.

Singhvi: So then the Court may dismiss it, but..

Kaul: but there is no urgency to hear it like this.
This can happen tomorrow.

Justice Kant: Whether we decide in favour or not, they cannot be denied hearing. An urgent hearing ought to be granted.

Kaul: Very well milord would request them to provide me with papers in advance

Justice Kant: Can we tentatively keep it at 5 pm?

SG Tushar Mehta: I am appearing for the Governor, I have no problem with 5 pm, would just request for the papers in advance too.

Singhvi: Please be assured everyone will be given a copy. Of course the Solicitor would be given.
