[Actress Attack Case]
#KeralaHighCourt is hearing the state prosecution's plea seeking forensic examination of the memory card containing the videos of the assault which Malayalam actor #Dileep is alleged to have masterminded. The trial court had declined their request.

A plea by the survivor actress alleging foul play in the investigation has been tagged with the matter

The prosecution is led by Director General of Prosecution, Sr. Adv. TA Shaji

Shaji : the object and purpose of the plea has already been made clear. I will now answer the other issues raised by them(Dileep)

Shaji : hash value has admittedly changed. The impact of the same must be brought into record

Justice Thomas: without an earlier hash value, how do you say there is a change? The memory card hash value has changed i.e, volume hash. But change in hash value of video has not been noticed by forensic lab before.

Shaji : but the impact of the change in hash Val of memory card should be brought into record by a process known to law. The court and prosecution are not experts. Even if my query is imperfect it is not sufficient cause to reject it. It is for the expert to verify

Shaji : the other reasons for seeking the forensic examination is specifically stated in my written submission. We cannot discuss that in court. After perusing that, your lordship's apprehensions will be allayed.

Shaji : one of their contention is that there was a four month delay in finding the change in hash value and filing the plea.

Justice Thomas : I will post this as the first case tomorrow. I have a full bench sitting and it will be improper for me to delay
