The NY conceal gun carry law is based on Gov. Hochul’s assumption that permit holders are a danger to society.
She said, “Imagine someone you know talking to your girlfriend. You're not real happy about it and you have a gun and you have a temper, and that's what happens.” 2/
NY gun carry law is based on Gov. Huchul’s “presumption” that “private property owners” do not want guns “on their premises.”
This makes the whole state a gun-free zone unless there is a literal sign in the window that says “concealed carry weapons welcome here.” 3/
NY Gov. Hochul seems to believe these dangerous legal permit holders need to be kept out of every part of society because she’s expanded so-called sensitive locations to cover what’s left of NYC and all modes of transportation. 4/
NY Gov Hochul is excited about a new “ammunition database” that she said is “long overdue.”
She didn’t detail the record-keeping for her database but said citizens who try to buy ammunition will have to pass a background check and show their gun carry permits. 5/
The NY new ammunition law is similar to DC. You have to show your gun card to legally buy and possess ammo.
The liberal freak out over the Supreme Court gun carry ruling has begun.

NYC Mayor Adams said about the Supreme Court gun carry ruling:
“There's a tendency that people believe if they got a gun, ‘Why have it, if I'm not using it?’ That's just the mindset of carrying a gun.” 🧵2/
To @NYCMayor , I was the first woman to get a concealed carry permit in Washington, D.C. And I promise you that my ”mindset” has never been that I have a gun, so I might as well shoot someone. 🧵3/
1. Santa Fe Sheriff is releasing "all the files associated with our ongoing investigation" including crime scene photos and witness interviews.
(But the dropbox is down now so waiting to get it...) 1/
Santa Fe Sheriff is not finished with the Alec Baldwin shooting investigation. He says he's waiting for FBI firearm and ballistic forensics, along with DNA and latent fingerprint analysis; the Medical Examiner's report and analysis of Alec Baldwin phone data extracted. 2/
Alec Baldwin has not been exonerated (even though he says so) for shooting and killing Halyna Hutchins.
"This shooting investigation by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office remains open and ongoing. "

“This case is about an incredibly wealthy, incredibly famous man whose overwhelming sense of entitlement led him to attack the grieving widow and sisters of a deceased US Marine… who now seeks to avoid responsibility for the harm he caused”
“Alec Baldwin cannot simply pick a fight in Wyoming and scurry back to his Manhattan penthouse claiming he is immune from the consequences of his actions in Wyoming.”

It’s a THING in D.C. for politicians to put out public statements or tweet when they get COVID and tell the public to get vaccinated. (In the Before Times, they only did this when they had cancer.)
Speaker Nancy Pelosi has COVID but didn’t attend Gridiron super spreader of vaccinated people. Will contact tracing connect her infection to it?
It makes no logical sense — much less health, science or medical— that DC @MayorBowser is firing the unvaccinated firefighters now - at the end of the pandemic.
These firefighter have been at work from the very beginning of COVID and lack of vaccination hasn’t hurt anyone.
If your house is burning down in D.C. or NYC or LA or San Francisco do you care if the responding firefighter is vaccinated?
But as the mayors keep firing these firefighters for the mandates, there will be fewer of them to show up when you call 911.
Alec Baldwin’s lawyer sent me the filing. In it, Baldwin’s team says “an actor cannot rule that a gun is safe. That is the responsibility of the people on the set.”
His stand is gun safety rules are only for the “people on the set” — ie those who are not rich and famous. 🧵2/
Alec Baldwin lawyer:
“Baldwin is an actor… He didn’t load the gun; he didn’t check the bullets in the gun; he didn’t purchase the bullets; he didn’t make the bullets and represent that they were dummies; he wasn’t in charge of firearm safety on the set...” 🧵3/
