The Denver Justice Project was founded in 2015 through a cmty-led effort to recall then-Denver DA Mitch Morrissey for his lack of prosecuting police officers who assaulted or murdered community members—incl Michael Lee Marshall, Dion Avila Damon, Paul Castaway & Jessie Hernandez.
Since its inception, the Denver Justice Project has been working with historically marginalized communities to address systemic racism through attempting to transform law enforcement & the structure of the criminal justice system. 🧵

Ruling on a decades-long case, the Israeli Supreme Court decided in May to authorize the expulsion of ~1,200 Palestinians from the Masafer Yatta area. According to @BtSIsrael it's “the largest population transfer in the history of the occupation since the early 1970s.” #Palestine
Protests in the Masafer Yatta region of the South Hebron Hills in the Occupied West Bank in response to the ruling to expel Palestinians from the area and the subsequent demolitions of homes and villages have been ongoing, even as Israeli forces work to suppress them.
