I’m a 45-year-old Black man who has been politically active since I was 18. It’s interesting to hear people aligned with Warren, Bernie and other progressive groups use the term “fight for us” so frequently because I have yet to see that shit when it comes to my community.
I grew up in the ‘80s-‘90s and these same folks were all in for “Save the Wetlands” and “Protect the Ozone Layer” not so much mass incarceration or police accountability tho but they’ll tell you how much Democrats and Biden contributed to that without explaining their inaction.
They’ll also neglect to tell you how hard they bit on the Bernie train and how much time they spent advocating for #M4A and #GND while ignoring reproductive rights. But suddenly when Roe was overturned they bore no responsibility and Democrats were to blame.

Since we're talking about @Jerone4Congress and his pretty hilariously stupid ad about defending himself from "Democrats in Klan hoods" I'll just point out the KKK endorsed Trump for President.
The party should always be evolving and it is. It is filled with smart women, Black folks, LGBTQIA. People willing to work. The party is not perfect but it does not need to bend to the will of disaffected Bernie supporters. And that’s what this fight is really about.
This not about “fight” or a “plan” or “meeting the moment” or none of that shit. This is about a calculated effort to take over a party that rejected them. It’s happening on multiple fronts and either you get that or you don’t. Either you see it or you won’t.
I do not want a "fighter." I don't want politicians always on Twitter "fighting" about something. I want workers. People willing to put in the time and sweat equity. Don't tell me your plans. Get in there and work for them. Show me your history of turning your plans into action.
Your daily reminder ppl didn't question Tara Reade's accusation because of Biden but because it kept changing. And it just so happened to be pushed by people close to the Bernie campaign
It was women investigative journalists who first sounded the alarm
I think this rant kinda hits what I'm feeling as a Cowboy fan about Jaylon Smith and the fan reaction to him, which is folks seem to be pulling against him as opposed to pulling for the team and it's weird. I mean I get it but the dogpile is getting corny
It's a combination of things, I know. The injury. The contract. The celebrations. The quotes in the media. But really, again, now it's like a Twitter clout thing to dunk on him over and over and I get that from the haters but Cowboys fans? Yeah I'm tight on that.
We've been complaining about him for two years and the team goes out and drafts two studs and signs another one. We don't have to rely on Jaylon anymore and our defense is better. But it's like folks are still just lazer focused on him.
One of the things Republicans are good at is framing bad faith criticism about foreign policy for the media. Republicans have absolutely no room to criticize Biden on Afghanistan. Trump and Bush literally created this mess but the media is framing this as a Biden "failure."
The right loves to demagogue withdrawing from countries because they're actually pro-imperialism. The left loves to complain about "unending" wars but when Democrats actually end wars or occupation they're quick to blame them for the consequential bloodshed from withdrawal.
Republicans are quick to argue "the world is laughing at us" for withdrawing from Afghanistan. No. 1 the Bush and Trump administration pretty much alienated almost all of our allies so they're not really qualified on taking the temperature of world leaders.
