There's a video of @PeterObi claiming Siemens told him Nigeria has been having meetings with them without progress.

With all due respect, this is yet another grievous untruth, and must not be allowed to go unchallenged.

Here are the facts on #PPInigeria:
Since #PPInigeria kicked off:

-#FGNPowerCo set up

-Pre-engineering phase has started & been concluded

-@africa_finance appointed Transaction Adviser

-A major equipment contract was awarded Dec 2021 - factory testing of equipment starting this month
For someone to claim they were told this, by the implementing firm - is a cheap lie, and also very easy to fact-check.

Someone needs to pay more attention to #PPInigeria news - because all of these things are being duly reported.
Here’s the video. Just imagine this. And the people listening are gobbling up the fabricated populist claptrap and clapping.

Check this hashtag out #PPInigeria and see that everything said in this video is a LIE

Please this is a genuine question. I want to learn.

"July 18, 2011 | AWKA –ANAMBRA State Govt has signed an MoU with a consortium of investors to build 260MW power plant estimated to cost $350 million." vanguardngr.com/2011/07/anambr…

Can someone give us an update on this project? Tnx!
2011: "The project is to be sited at the bank of River Niger in Onitsha. At the signing ceremony, in Awka, Governor Peter Obi signed for the State Govt, while Chief Dennis Okafor & Mr. Russel Schwartz signed for Denca Services Ltd, the project sponsor..." vanguardngr.com/2011/07/anambr…
I genuinely want to know. Did this project take off? How far has it gone? Or has it been completed? If it's stalled, what stalled it? What lessons have been learnt from it?

Thanking you in anticipation of your prompt response.

What follows will be a #thread of PRIVATE SECTOR investment in #Nigeria, under @MBuhari’s Presidency.

Will probably be the longest thread I’ve ever done, and will take some time to complete.

(Note that it’s not organised by sector, size or year).

Whether or not OBJ lifts a finger for 2023, he will be one of the biggest influencers of the outcome of that election.

And it will be because of his actions many years ago, between 2003 and 2007.

Let me explain.
Exercise patience please. I dey one get-together like that. Food has arrived. Stay tuned. Take this as a commercial break.
Okay we back.

Let’s start with OBJ/Atiku:

If Atiku does not EVER become the President of Nigeria, it will to a large extent be because of the political damage OBJ did to him starting from around 2004, and intensifying from 2006/7.

#random Among the enduring memories of childhood were the Wars raging c1990/1991: Gulf War, and the Liberian Civil War. I was 9 at the time; clearly remember these names: Norman Schwarzkopf, and Tayo Awotusin and Krees Imodibe. May their souls continue to Rest In Peace.
The Cold War too loomed large. Reflexive acceptance that there were the good guys (Allied Forces) ranged against the bad (Soviet Union).

Closer home, ECOMOG vs Charles Taylor/Samuel Doe/etc.
My brother & I had an alphabet set - & assigned countries to the various colors: Red was UK, Green Nigeria, Soviet Union Purple, can’t remember what US was. We made the colored letters (soldiers) ‘battle’ one another, right side up post/battle meant survival, upside down, death.
