No, no it doesn't. When/if the sealant sticks, the occlusal surfaces are the only surface affected. -|- "The plastic seals the tooth and makes it less likely to trap food and germs."

Sure, don't teach children that they alone can preserve the oral health they were born with by cleaning their own teeth. Make them dependent. That is what is known as "patient autonomy". -|- "Your child can learn that going to the dentist helps prevent problems."
