Oh Amy Brown, thou shalt not lie!

Mr Fang is a grub. If people are being bullied by governments or any massive institution, those people are entitled to engage lawyers to represent them. Inflict viciousness on the weak and underrepresented and expect to be met with a viciousness of our own.

Working hypothesis:
•J West appointed NYC gig
•Barra issues threat/indicates desire for NYC whilst JW contract drawn up
•delays re seeking US tax advice are a furphy, it’s a BS excuse lawyers use all the time to stall
•Deal done to gift Barra the job
•J West defamed/shafted.

The above list of dot points require the following people to collude in a manner that will make eyes pop at ICAC: Ayres, Gladys, Perrottet and Mrs Amy Brown.

Regarding the chronology of the first two dot points, it’s likely Barra had been bitching and moaning about wanting that sweet NYC gig he wrote with himself in mind for many months. Gladys’ signing the briefing note confirming J West appointment has the whiff of starters pistol’s

about it. Gladys took a position that the appointments would be remain within the public service and did as best she could in writing to record that. Champagne emojis from A Brown have her pegged as a fence sitter at this point. Waiting to see where the cards will fall.

It’s all is tad Littlefinger from A Brown’s end. She worked with Barra for long enough to know to the “someone” was that the present was promised to.

What Barra did next after Gladys made her move is where the shitfuckery sandwich was baked.

We know one thing for certain that Barra and Amy didn’t do (apparently) and that was have a conversation about Barra’s obligations under the ICAC Act being a former minister. Neither the candidate for the role nor the public servant awarding it thought to consider this. That,

is as munted as merging It’s a Knockout, Celebrity Double Dare and those old school Japanese torture shows that Clive James would show clips from AND then letting Don Burke host the thing.
It’s absurd, nonsensical and bonkers that the ICAC Act obligations not discussed by J & A.

Root prob here is the perception that if you’re to survive in senior ranks of the pub service you have to treat the ICAC Act as faded wallpaper or a Roman traffic light. Reporting anything clearly reportable is a career ender so most take the “wilful blindness survivalist path.”

Ayres denies he used the phrase “a present for someone.” Brown did not include this phrase in her first round of questioning. She ought be afforded the opportunity with refreshed memory to advise the c’tee further. If Brown denies she said it, either she or West are lying.

For my eye, West was staunch and frightened, real and credible. Credible as a future witness and credible by way of her conduct today and her tremendous CV.

Mrs Brown…well, geez *head-scratch*.

Perrottet is of the view that Stuart Ayres isn’t lying and that he did not use the words “a present for someone.” So either Jenny West or Amy Brown must be lying according to the dictums of Dom.
