The fiscal case + patriotic case for reparations to descendants of slaves is astounding!

First, let’s be clear that #Reparations to American Freedmen were promised by the federal government & was not fully delivered due to gov’t takeover by Confederates, plus others….

likely to be fired for nonsensical reasons and not hired in the first place due to name discrimination and general anti-Black American bias. This includes ALL hiring managers (white, Asian, Black immigrant, etc)…ALL, EXCEPT Black American leaders

At the same time, the U.S. funnels Black men & boys into prisons w/ disproportionate enforcement for PETTY “crimes”…like weed possession and/or trumped up charges & forced plea deals/forced confessions.

Black students are pushed out of STEM careers due to higher punishment for the same OR LESS SEVERE incidents.

U.S. divested from Black neighborhoods which lowered property values &, thus, lowers foundation formula calculations for school funding.

This all contributes to

poverty, policing, poor child outcomes, adult trauma from harmful & repeatedly negative interactions in institutions & w/ authorities.

That trauma continues a cycle of harm and deprivation.

Reparations to Freedmen/descendants of slaves is not just for chattel slavery—a sick institution in & of itself. The repair is for the continued harm of discrimination & neglect that is practiced to this day—despite law.

All of this current demand for Repair COULD HAVE BEEN SETTLED during Reconstruction, had former enslavers not sabotaged it…Had new (Great Wave) immigrants & their children not sabotaged it…Had NEGRO civil rights & affirmative action not been

ALLOWED to be appropriated by women, immigrants, sexuality, & anything else.

Whose access & rights had been systematically denied & blocked? ONLY Freedmen needed to have our right to grow wealth / to be hired AFFIRMED…to not be casually killed by police & citizens, too.

Reparations in terms of intentional and deliberate ENFORCEMENT and IMPLEMENTATION of Negro (American Freedmen) citizenship amendments (13-15) & civil rights is long overdue.

Repair is pro-American…Freedmen are a legacy American population. We comprised 42% of the population at Founding 🇺🇸.

The economic benefits to ALL AMERICANS as a result of Freedmen reparations is about the continuation of the U.S. itself…

The consumption/cannibalization of the U.S. is well underway!

Anti-Freedmen/anti-reparations sentiment is no small part of the problem.
