Friends I had the most amazing night taking the #corvette around #NYC and letting people sit in it. Young and old, it brought such joy - and I even got to do this. #Kindness
People were incredulous that it wasn’t some scam. But they got in and those smiles — phew! ImageImageImageImage
Dancing in Times Square
This is not my car, it’s a press car from @chevrolet. I just wanted to make people happy. I drove the crap out of it already.
This kid!
I didn’t turn anyone away. This man is a street vendor. He said he hadn’t sat in a Corvette in 50 yrs since his dad had one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m a journalist folks. I was given a press car, instead I wanted to hear what other people thought about it. The happiness was unexpected. It’s not my car, this isn’t some ego stroke. Jeez.

The Fed investigation into Evangelical @OlivetU for labor trafficking, visa fraud, and money laundering — started with a desperate 911 call by a woman claiming to be held prisoner by the sect. newsweek.com/olivet-student…
“Kevin”, a former member of @OlivetU, described how the Indian woman thought she was coming here on a full scholarship for journalism. Instead, she worked in the kitchen and taught dance to children of staff. It is a common story I’ve heard. Many “students” barely speak English.
The woman, along with other students, eventually escaped and went to police - and is still cooperating with authorities.

The reason police were able to identify him so quickly, is bc he has to register his car, have it insured, and have a license to operate. Imagine if we did that with firearms and firearm owners.
You think we might actually see a decline in this type of violence? Not to mention they should be taxed.
Not only is the ability to purchase firearms almost completely unregulated in some states, registering existing firearms is almost unthinkable. We can’t even get people to declare they own firearms. You want to own a gun? Then you should have it registered, licensed, and insured.

Well these lunatics have done what transnational terrorists failed to do with 9/11: terrorize an entire country, by murdering people in everything from schools to parades.
There we mobilized every resource, inconvenienced Americans, infringed on rights, and even fought wars. Here? The solution is ignored, in fact it is actively attacked by a theocratic minority.
We took our shoes off and let our laptops be searched and refused to “let the terrorists win.” We created the Department of Homeland Security and developed a massive surveillance/collection program. We created and “authority to use military force” so that the DoD could wage war.

#breaking After @Newsweek reported that @OlivetU, part of David Jang’s empire, was at the center of a @DHSgov inv and @NYSEDNews cancelled their operations, 2 of his top lieutenants have sued @Newsweek CEO to seize control of the publication from him. newsweek.com/ibt-media-sues…
I am not mincing words, should Jang be succesful in his legal bid, this will be the end of an independent @Newsweek newsroom.

24 hours after publishing about how @NYSEDNews revoked Evangelical @OlivetU permission to operate in NYS, and to even resubmit and application, I awoke to several zombie sites writing about me. Seeming to claim I somehow got NYS to take action against them. ImageImage
The sites appear to be citing Jonathan Davis as an “unnamed source.” Davis is the husband of Tracy Davis, a high level executive of @OlivetU. Tracy Davis’ continued involvement is cited by @NYSEDNews as one of the reasons for canceling Olivet’s authority to operate in NY.
The editors note for both stories says “HNGN was registered by Davis in 2016, before he divested the publication in 2018…Ryan Lee …and is a member of the same church that Davis attends.”

After @Newsweek reported on DHS invest into Evangelical @OlivetU for labor trafficking, money laundering, and visa fraud, @NYSEDNews issued scathing letter ordering Univ to cease all ops bc “pattern of mismanagement” and ties to “criminal activity”. newsweek.com/new-york-shuts…
.@OlivetU has authority to operate in TN and CA and is accredited by @abhe - association for biblical higher learning. The small evangelical school has also been granted to enroll international students by @DHSgov. I’ve reached out to all for comment.
Our reporting shows the focus of the federal investigation into @OlivetU, is that they are using their status as a university to bring students from China here, who are then participating in a sophisticated money laundering operation. newsweek.com/chinese-pastor…
