Well, it has been almost 2 months of trying to start freelance SEO consulting / building an SEO agency.
I have made a total of $500 (non-recurring) and spent about $12,000 on living expenses (I have a family).
Those numbers are frustrating. 🧵👇
There are some promising prospects and connections, but that does not = income.
There are a number of things to tweak and try, I know this can be done.
Do I continue and throw a lot of money at it?
I have a 2 month runway and I don't want to waste it, here are the directions I am considering:
1. Keep tweaking my approach to cold outreach
- Tweak targets, pitches, ect.
2. Jump straight into niche sites (my end goal)
- Build for 2 months (then get a job)
- Buy something small and hope to grow it as much as possible to flip (then get a job)
3. Get a part time job in SEO to extend my runway while doing one of the above
