The very first time I saw the trailer for @allatoncemovie, I said "This is a film about menopause!"

The very first time I saw the film, I was convinced "This is a film about menopause!" I saw it three times and wrote this feministgiant.com/p/essay-the-me… #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce
And I have now become known to the The Daniels--who wrote and directed @allatoncemovie--as the "middle aged woman who wrote an essay that said #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce is about menopause."

Here The Daniels tell Daniel Radcliffe that on @A24 podcast podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the…
And here too: "I read this incredible review from a middle-aged woman who basically saw this film as a menopause movie. She said, "Oh, this film is the perfect metaphor for what I'm going through right now, as I'm going through menopause." filmfreakcentral.net/ffc/2022/04/da…
Between crushing anxiety, hot flashes, red hot rage and brain fog, who does not want to beat the whole world up?

feministgiant.com/p/essay-the-me… #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce
The rollercoaster of a film that is @allatoncemovie is the 1st time I feel someone has heard & given voice to the flood of “what if’s” that perimenopause has brought as well as the physical and emotional changes we are squeezed through to emerge as the superheroes we need to be.
The multiverse might not need us to save it, but our internal multiverse needs us to have a similar reckoning, to stand in the power of a self that has made it through the perimenopause and everything it threw at us, and to emerge as our own superheroes. feministgiant.com/p/essay-the-me…

I understand why some want to use “pro forced birth” instead of “anti abortion,” to describe zealots behind abortion bans, but we must not shy away from the word “abortion.” I am pro abortion.
Say “abortion.” Use that word often. Shatter the silence and shame that the zealots insist on. #AbortionRightsAreHumanRights #AbortionIsHealthcare
For as long as patriarchy can shroud abortion with silence it will continue to stamp it in shame. Knowing that, I broke my silence so that I could break free of shame. I am pro abortion. 📷 @rerutled feministgiant.com/p/essay-on-abo… Mona holding a sign saying ...

“Pro-life” was never accurate description of abortion opponents.

They assassinated abortion providers, set fire to clinics, stalked providers in their neighbourhoods, and terrorized people seeking abortions.

Anti-abortion terrorists is more accurate.

I’m fed up of hearing “Vote! Vote! Vote!” as the antidote to the victory of the white supremacist Christian zealots who destroyed #RoeVWade.

We need a radicalism that for too long those zealots held a copyright to.

We are on the brink of a theocracy!

Where is our radicalism?
How, when you know about voter suppression and gerrymandering, do you suggest "Vote! Vote! Vote!" as a solution? It's delusional.

And how about the fucking U.S. media develop a fucking spine. The same media that wouldn't call Trump a racist now can't call these zealots zealots.

At the inaugural Feminist Book Club event at @strandbookstore last night, Dr. Meera Shah was asked how we can fight back against abortion bans. She gave many great ideas including "Say the word 'abortion' more. Talk about it more." #AbortionIsNormal #AbortionIsHealthcare Two women sitting on either...
The book club, co-presented by FEMINIST GIANT & @strandbookstore, launched w/ Dr. Shah's You're the Only One I've Told: The Stories Behind Abortion which inspired me to break the silence--refuse shame--around my abortions. TALK ABOUT ABORTION 📷 @rerutled

Shatter that silence, vanquish secrecy, drag abortion out of the shadows and into the public discourse as the human right that it is. Don't let abortion opponents constrain it with the straitjacket of shame and stigma. feministgiant.com/p/essay-on-abo… #AbortionRightsAreHumanRights
