Some Godot followers keep saying to me that I should stop talking negatively about Godot, saying that this is unhealthy or excessive. The more you try to discourage me to stop this, the more this motivates me to talk negatively about Godot! 🙂

#GodotEngine #CancelGodotEngine
Because this amount of gaslighting and slandering as done by Godot followers is very alarming. To Godot followers, it's like I never existed in the first place... I repeat: I'm an ex-developer of Godot. You can verify this for yourself by launching Godot's "About" window.
I do not hide anything about myself. I'm a real person, with a real name.
If you keep saying that I should get "professional help", this is totally unhelpful. In fact, this kind of gaslighting will only make other people undermine their self-confidence, and because of this gaslighting, the victim of your gaslighting would have to go to a therapy!
Why not just ignore and move on? If you're so concerned about people talking negatively about Godot to the point of suggesting them to "get help", perhaps you should be concerned about Godot treating their members badly instead? Why don't you discuss facts? What do you think?
I repeat: your own behavior of calling other people mentally insane based on their dissent opinion about Godot is what makes the Godot community toxic. It promotes environment where people cannot talk and discuss things openly.
However, you shouldn't worry about me. I have become resilient to this. I went through the most extreme gaslighting in my life already, "thanks" to Juan, a toxic cult leader of Godot. I have learnt a lot.
Godot leadership could prevent this, the only thing they had to do was to apologize. They never apologize, because they are hypocrites and discriminatory toxic leaders. They will say extremely polite things most of the part, but their actions go in opposition to what they say.
Don't be misguided when you see people saying that I do this out of anger. No, not at all. If you feel like it, that's not my feeling. I'm motivated by my right to be intolerant of intolerance in order to remain our society tolerant. Godot community is a subject of my research.
There exist some former Godot contributors/members who have suddenly left the community altogether. Here's just a few examples:
A creator of GDNative (GDExtension in 4.x) leaves the community and never interacts on GitHub anymore:

github.com/godotengine/go…
Bulgarian member of Godot is suddenly removed from the project without a clear reason:

github.com/godotengine/go…
I have no idea what happened to those guys. I even talked to them back in 2017-2019. But I've never seen them interacting in Godot community afterwards.
So, if you see me talking negatively about Godot, consider this as a service for all people who couldn't talk about how they got treated in Godot. While I cannot speak for them, I'm their voice. In fact, some share their testimonies to me and I express their anonymized concerns.
This is not how concerns must be voiced (via proxy like me). Contributors and people in general must be allowed to freely criticize Godot without getting ostracized by community. Godot leadership could rightfully discourage such ostracism, but they actually promote it.
Do you recall Juan's tweet on Godot being a cult? Read on.

#GodotEngine #CancelGodotEngine
I suspect that what he says is mostly a reaction to my own tweets about Godot. Yes, as a proponent of FOSS, I'm a former member of Godot who actually asserts that Godot is a destructive cult (destructive means it causes harm to its members, either physical or mental).
It's not just commercial game engines calling Godot a cult, as Juan deceptively portraits it. Even then, when he portraits it that way, it's done in a "us vs them" mentality, which is a definitive sign of cult communities.
As a toxic leader, Juan creates a perceived threat, something like "commercial engines want to destroy FOSS". Bullshit. Commercial engines just laugh at toxic leaders like you, Juan.
Juan says "live and let live". That's how narcissists play a victim as a way to deflect criticism. That's exactly how cults work. They induce guilt so you cannot possibly say anything bad about them or reveal their lies, because of this "victimhood". Manipulation at expert level.
Juan subverts the attention away from my testimony and makes a "joke" about Godot being a cult. And of course, susceptible followers believe the unquestionable and authoritative vision of Juan:

Good job, Juan, a cult leader of Godot! You're truly a master of gaslighting. The fish rots from the head, as the old saying goes.
By the way, I'm not the only one who thinks this way:

The project manager of Godot, Rémi, calls us a "vocal minority". He always does this to minimize our thoughts and feelings. This is also a logical fallacy in this context, because existing evidence suggests that Godot is a cult, regardless of how many people call Godot a cult.
They call us "vocal minority", but Godot's Code of Conduct says: "we strive to be welcoming to all industry minorities". But then they end up ostracizing those minorities. This may be far fetched, but the point is that the existence of contradictions is another sign of a cult.
The fact that they ignore us and try to never bring up a topic about us means that toxic leaders of Godot want to hide this fact under the rug from the sight of the public. Blocking criticism is another sign of a cult.
And as I said before, there's not much harm with making a cult out of something, as long as you're conscious enough to not fall into groupthink. But when we deal with destructive cults, which is Godot, we must be worried.
If you still don't believe that Godot is a cult, that's fine and expected. The Godot's cult brainwashing is very strong. Do you want to make an experiment?

I tell you that you'll either get a private message from reduz/Akien/moderators, your messages will be deleted, you'll read slander about me (no facts), or you'll get immediately banned.
If you do this, please make screenshots beforehand, as they can ban you anytime. Feel free to post those screenshots here. I'm really interested if my assumption is correct. Thank you.
I also realize that not many people share the #CancelGodotEngine movement. Due to this, feel free to share your testimonies under #TruthAboutGodot or #GodotCult, whatever fits right or gets popularity.

Godot cult: instead of discussing facts, Godot followers choose to publicly label me as insane, crazy, mentally-ill, suggest professional help, get therapy etc.

The following are examples of such toxic behavior.

When people call others crazy or suggest professional help in this context, then this what describes gaslighting, a very destructive form of manipulation:

Before showing examples, I'd like you to understand that Godot shows all signs of having collective narcissism qualities:

Some Unity users and even moderators within Unity community are infected with the futile ideology of waiting for Godot! This must be fixed! Let me explain why.

#GodotEngine #CancelGodotEngine #Unity3D #Unity #GameDev
As you may know, Unity recently merged with ironSource: blog.unity.com/news/welcome-i…
This created a mass hysteria on Unity forums. Because of this, Unity folks were heavily discussing Godot there to consider switching to as an alternative to Unity, so I decided to share my perspective there:

Juan's hypocrisy in one picture, aka @reduzio! He publicly says that he encourages public discussions. But privately, he will tell you that expressing disagreement in private is far more productive and useful!

#GodotEngine #CancelGodotEngine
I totally realize that everybody in Godot community simply adore Juan, but he has undue influence over you, so let me explain this. Feel free to read this before continuing:

Disagreements are at the heart of every fruitful discussion. If you agree, that's fine. If you disagree, that's also fine, because disagreement challenges different viewpoints that lead to actual consensus. You can read this article which explains this:

Juan's hypocrisy: talks about critical thinking, but allows none in Godot community.

#GodotEngine #CancelGodotEngine
Juan says that they would like to "prevent bloat". He also says that they "refuse by default": godotengine.org/article/will-y…
The problem is that they attract many ideas, and have to refuse all of them, and make people disappointed with the unclear development process.

Solution: write development philosophy, define scope. But no! Juan wants people to keep people deluded:

People who get offended by #CancelGodotEngine say that it's done in bad faith, vengeance, or say that I'm biased, angry, arrogant, corrupt, making up conspiracy theories, or even suggest that I need professional help! Oh, and a cultist, sure! Did I miss anything, #GodotEngine? 🤔
Surprise! All people who say those things are Godot cult followers: users, developers, designers, artists, donators, and even people who haven't tried Godot yet, but simply know about it and follow its development and would like to use it in the future.

However, if you're not a Godot follower and you share the same accusations towards me as done by Godot followers, please let me know! I'm interested to know your perspective, I'd like to help people, I want to deliver my message in such a way that it's understood by most people.

Godot is #OpenSource, but it doesn't mean that the mentality of Godot is open. They use their corporate IT consulting processes to drive Godot's development. It's not community-driven. They see volunteers as a service (VaaS) to companies.

#GodotEngine #CancelGodotEngine
In order to understand why Godot is not community-driven, take a look here first and foremost:

Godot founders, Juan and Ariel, created a company called Codenix, a game development and technology consulting company. Godot as an in-house engine used to be developed and licensed to various companies up until 2014.
