Read threads with #SelfPublishing #CostCutting #UnderTheSun to understand cost cutting in self-publishing. When we started we were demoralised at Rs 6.1 lacs that came as cost to publish our book.

We were not ready to dilute the standards we had set for ourselves:
-Made In India paper (99% novels use imported paper).

-Latest printing machines.
-YOUTH as designers for our cover art.
-High quality typesetters.
-E Commerce logistics providers

We toiled & found out cheaper ways. We simply decided to SELF PUBLISH.

Since last SIX MONTHS day in and out our team of three has toiled. @shubhankarchau7 and @Nachiket146 are other two young and firebrand team members who take 80% of load.

The book is likely to be published before schedule.

Today we got our FOURTH SUCCESS in cost cutting.

We finally homed on to a YOUTH DESIGNER who is full of creative ideas and has offered services at nearly 50% cost of what the other designers were asking.

Each designer quoted more than 40K where as we had budgeted 30K.

Our budget for designing has been revised downward to 15K.

The cost break up as on 26 Jul is:

Editing - 1.3 lacs (finalised for 85,000 words)

We revise our preorders required for covering cost from 800 to 780 books today.
Do pre-order the book. Help me reach 780 books. We are at 305 preorders and just 475 preorders away. Encourage first time authors.
