#HappeningNow: #Cathlamet hard landing at #Fauntleroy causing significant damage to the vessel and an offshore dolphin at the terminal. No injuries to report at this time. Fauntleroy service suspended until further notice while assessment is done.

UPDATE: Issaquah is providing service between #Vashon and #Southworth. No schedule for Issaquah. It will be a load and go.

For those who need to get between #Vashon Island & mainland, there will be no midday tie up of #Chetzemoka on #PointDefiance/#Tahlequah route. We will operate 1235p & 1p sailings that normally only run on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & holidays. wsdot.com/ferries/schedu…

The @SeattlePD is currently turning away ALL traffic at the #Fauntleroy terminal. No one will be permitted to line up on Fauntleroy Way. The terminal is CLOSED until further notice.

@SeattlePD #Fauntleroy terminal remains closed while U.S. Coast Guard investigates this morning’s hard landing of #Cathlamet. The vessel can’t be moved until this is complete. Then, the dock structure will be examined and if it’s determined to be usable, we’ll restore service there.

@SeattlePD We are working with @KingCountyMetro & @KitsapTransit on how their passenger-only ferry service can help get people home this afternoon and evening. We'll keep you looped in on these travel options – especially for Vashon Island residents.

@SeattlePD @KingCountyMetro @KitsapTransit For walk-on riders trying to get between #Vashon Island & the mainland, @KingCountyMetro has added an additional round trip of the King County Water Taxi leaving Pier 50 in downtown #Seattle at 330p and out of Vashon at 358p.

U.S. Coast Guard has cleared us to move #Cathlamet out of #Fauntleroy terminal. Vessel will do a few stops for crewing purposes before heading to our Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility for repairs. #Issaquah is now heading to Fauntleroy for service to resume there.

With #Cathlamet moved & terminal infrastructure cleared for safe service, we've restored service at #Fauntleroy w/#Issaquah making all stops on our "Triangle" route. #Kitsap en route to #Vashon & when it arrives, we will access how to set up or reset the schedule for both boats.

It's been quite the day... "access" should be "assess."

Two-boat service has resumed on our #Fauntleroy/#Vashon/#Southworth route with #Issaquah and #Kitsap sailing all stops with no set schedule. We will switch to the posted two-boat schedule later this evening.
