Ethereum is one of the few projects that has been consistently pushing innovation, development, and research in the Blockchain space with a non-toxic online community.
At this point I'm not sure if actual people still believe these #ETH FUD posts or if it's just online trolls.
You would have to be the equivalent of a crypto-luddite to ignore the positive impacts Ethereum has had on the overall space.
There's a reason why value accrues on Ethereum. Why most innovative projects are launched on ETH L1 and L2s (i.e. #GMX#DPX).
The community that has fostered around Ethereum is actually in it for the technology. You'll rarely see main proponents of Ethereum justify themselves by talking about the price or attacking other communities.
The most prominent voices and communities in Ethereum (obligatory @thedailygwei) are doing their best to inform others about the various research and developments, happening behind the scenes) that will assist in scaling and increased decentralization.
Members from communities such as r/ethfinance have helped bring to the forefront innovative ideas such as EIP1559/EIP4844/The Merge/Rollups/zkRollups.
Creating websites and vast wealths of knowledge to help keep the lay person informed about what these things are and aren't.
The amount of negativity #Ethereum gets from the broader online crypto community is unwarranted. While I suspect that most of it's limited to online spaces, I worry that newer folks learning about crypto will discover these poor FUD attempts and be left with a negative impression
