It is a measure of the success of ‘Information Operations’ when actors are universally lauded as heroes, and true heroes who sacrifice their lives bringing the world truth are regarded as terrorists.

The US could unilaterally bomb Russia with nuclear weapons and most of the western world would celebrate, @TheEconomist declaring ‘Finally NATO has the Lebensraum its deserves: inside this issue, a guide to the rich new European territories opening up!’
Who would complain? No one
There is no shame, and no limits, to the US led propaganda operations, in the same way there are no limits to the selling of hamburgers, and cola.

Every nation who is not aligned with the US must be destroyed. English (US) the only language, the US dollar the only currency
If he is not already, Zelensky will soon sell both Rolex, and Calvin Klein, in huge photo-shopped pictures by Annie Leibovitz, above Times Square.

Meanwhile, Julian Assange will die in prison. He will be vaguely reported on by the NYT, as someone ‘bad’, ‘a Russian puppet’
Ever since Ronald Reagan became ‘one the most popular Presidents ever’, simply because he could deliver a line, the line between truth and fiction in Western politics has faded.
Kiefer Sutherland will eventually be elected President, after all, he ‘knows how to handle a crisis’.
Tony Blair was nothing if not a method actor, hard to tell him and Michael Sheen apart, except for the gleam in Sheen’s eye.

Blair’s phoney ‘Christian duty’ to bring ‘decency and democracy’ to the world has strangely made him a billionaire.

He’ll likely be a Duke, eventually.
What do we actually know about Zelensky?
What do we actually know about Putin?

Without truth, how do we know what’s simply Govt ‘propaganda’?

We don’t.
Truth is the only discriminator.
Who possesses it? how can we get it? how do we recognise it when we see it?
One man thought on this problem, and then bought us the truth, and used a lot of ingenious technology to ensure we could be sure it was truly ‘the truth’, not a corporate or Govt version of such.

Not surprisingly it wasn’t the same, as the Govt and Corp version of the truth.
We know it was the truth, because as a result of the unique technology, the world could see the original documents, but the Security Services could not trace the leakers identities.
It was incredible.
But the media said it was ‘irresponsible’.
Imagine showing actual documents?!
Some media said it was bad that various unlikable traitors and murderers might have their identities exposed.
But those same media were quite happy to ruin the lives of ‘convicted’ or ‘accused’, or ‘suspected’ with their media reports, saying only “They shouldn’t have done it!”
Assange reasoned the beauty of Wikileaks was that there was ‘no editing, no spin’, just ‘truth’.

We had seen ‘actual documents’ before, but when they were ‘edited’ by security services (like the MWD lies) they were simply well-camouflaged Govt Information Operations.
The greatest tragedy of Julian Assange will not be his death in prison, but rather that after the publication of 100,000+ damning docs showing the West was corrupt and murderous, no one really cared. No. One. Really. Cared.

“But how about those red carpet dresses’?!’ Amazing!”
It says everything about the Western World that war criminals never face trial. They get medals, money and pardons. Whistleblowers, on the other hand, die in prison, because when we say ‘truth matters’ it is only a sick joke.

Truth is for losers. Winners lie. Winners ‘act’.
The odds are Julian Assange will die in prison, and most people in the West will simply shrug their shoulders. “He should have known better than to cross the US” they will say. And things like ‘Rules are rules’ (as one media fool said to me). “Rules are rules. Wow, Logies!”
But if a famous actor dies, especially one who plays heroic figures in expensive movies, the world will cry.

We love heroes. Or those who pretend to be heroes. And fight ‘Arms dealers and terrorists” with German and Russian accents. On green screens.

They inspire us.
If Assange had truly wanted to be loved by the majority of Australians, and supported by our Govt, he should have become an actor, or a footballer.

They, are heroes.

They stand for something.

Don’t they @AlboMP ?

If you are worried about your kids vaping, watch a few episodes of Euphoria.
What does a Foreign Policy of:
‘we don’t really like the Americans, and we know they break the law, but we publicly support them because they will protect us, and we all want an easy life?’
say about us, in the eyes of our kids?
We teach our kids not to be fearful. We teach them to be ethical. We teach them to stand up to bullies, and not make friends who exploit us.

Yet we do something different. Very very different. In our jobs, in our Govt.

I have great respect for @markdreyfusQCMP legal knowledge. He’s a QC and a good one. But one area I probably know more than him is Laws of Armed Conflict:

Assange may be in a civilian prison, but he is actually classified as ‘Member of a (Terrorist) Group’ by the US.

See 🧵
While you probably thought it was a joke, or the hyperbole of US populism, the US (the people that matter anyway) do truly classify Assange as a ‘Member of an Organised Armed Group’. While it’s a nonsense, it doesn’t matter. They answer to no one. Like ‘torture’ ‘black sites’ etc
Once Assange is classified as if he was the leader of ISIS or Hamas, he can be ‘legally’ killed ‘on sight’. By either the US or their proxies. If anyone complained the US would say their classification was sound. No US official has ever been prosecuted for misuse of the label.

Corruption will destroy Australia long before China will.
If a person in the most senior position in the Australian Defence Force, puts their own career ahead of the national defence, how safe are we in the case of an attack?
An integrity commission will protect us better than ten nuclear submarines that arrive just in time to be obsolete.

Those of you lucky enough to be able to come along to see the documentary opening in Sydney tomorrow are in for a treat: about twenty Afghan-Australians are coming along to watch and discuss the film, and afterwards will also take part in a Q and A moderated by @MaryKostakidis
The reason I’m so keen to have ‘Afghan’ point of view is so often in discussions of the West’s wars in the global South, there is an sense of ‘what would the locals know?’

Quite a lot, actually.

One thing in particular: while we ‘talk a great game’, we are very flawed.
The way Westerners see their invasions and the way ‘the invaded’ see us, are very different.

It doesn’t mean everything we do is bad. It’s not.

But we are not nearly as good as we think, and not half as good as we claim.

Galileo was a conspiracy theorist.
If he lived today he would have been censored by Big Tech, and imprisoned by the US for ‘disinformation’
Don’t be fooled into thinking Big Tech is aligned with freedom of thought. Big Tech cares only about Big Money and it’s survival. And to make Big Money, you have to suck up to the Govt. Which they do. And then some.

While some may think ‘this is not the biggest scandal’, it set the scene for ‘Afghanistan’:
The SAS ignored the rules.
The Aust Legal Officers covered for them.
The (NZ) Legal Officer who actually did her job was told to ‘shut up’.

Cosgrove becomes GG. abc.net.au/news/2022-04-1…
The same corrupt Aust Legal Officers who told the NZ Major to “shut up” about illegal torture and abuse are giving evidence against me in my case.
The Aust Army Legal Corps is a corrupted organisation which sees its role as rubber stamping and, if necessary covering up, breaches of the law by our troops.

Whistleblowers are their real enemy.

By supporting the Legal Corps over myself, the Govt shows it’s true nature.
