The mere fact that Godot came up with its own Code of Conduct is very alarming. Healthy open-source projects are not obsessed with this in contrast to Godot:
At the same time, Godot's Code of Conduct doesn't really mean anything in terms of enforcement. You can be banned for arbitrary reasons, like having a dissent opinion about Godot.
Do you recall "Thinkpol" and "Ministry of Love" in Orwell's "1984"?
You can find many more examples if you really want to dig into this topic. But let me save your time: just run away from this dystopian nightmare called Godot, disguised as an open community, designed for everyone to fall in love with. They want the community to depend on them.
I've been there for 5 years as an official member, so I know exactly what I'm talking about. I am seen as a dissident in Godot community already, to the point where I'm labeled with whatever cognitive disability just to discredit what I'm saying. Don't give power to them.
If you're a Godot contributor who managed to read until the end, you probably have doubts. It may be scary to speak out, but it's our ethical duty to do so. Don't let toxic leadership dictate how you must express yourself in Godot. Community holds power. Think for yourself.

Ironically, what you read above totally describes Godot. It's one of the biggest echo chambers out there in #OpenSource game #GameDev community, because dissenting opinion about Godot is seen with hostility. This is also the reason why I say that Godot leadership is hypocritical.
Despite the fact that I'm cancelled by @Akien in Godot, here's a proof that I actually existed in Godot and that I'm an author of ShapeCast2D feature in Godot. They cannot erase that from history! 😉
First and foremost, the fact that Godot cultists call me a conspiracy theorist is nothing new. See my other thread (make sure to scroll down to see the educational video on cults):
The fact that they keep talking about me in this context is really good, because all their words and actions prove everything about Godot being a cult.
I've stumbled upon a truly covert #GodotEngine propaganda video. I don't recommend watching it, because videos like these usually induce anxiety feelings and tend not to bring any kind of value. It's created by Godot cult follower, by the way.
They try to induce anxiety feelings, attempting to convince you that you won't be able to achieve anything in game development. Then, they overtly or covertly offer you a solution: Godot!
This is exactly how cult phobia indoctrination works.
At the same time, they will "empower" you when you end up choosing Godot. These alterations of anxiety and so called "love" mold individuality to the point that it may hurt your cognition, so you may find it difficult to discover other alternatives.
Someone at Godot subreddit says: "I know we're being called a cult and stuff..."
It's nice to see that #GodotEngine becomes more self-conscious about this. If only they could research more, but they turn it into a "sign of success". 😢
Seeing comments like these is painful, because it reminded me of myself in the past. It's exactly a rhetoric of a cultist. They turn the "cult" into a "sign of success", but instead of being proud, they belittle other engines, showing cult signs of "us vs them" mentality.
