Its August 2022, and at last, like a dream come true, Neil Gaiman's #TheSandman will finally happen in live action as a Netflix series!!! And i'll gonna review each episode of the first season (or most of it) along i watch. Exciting times!!!

Actually 'Dream of a 1000 Cats' and 'Caliope' are ONE SINGLE EPISODE of more than a hour!!!! NOICE. #TheSandman

S01E11: 'Dream of a 1000 Cats/Caliope' are two different stories connected thematically by 2 things: the power of dreams to reshape our world and loss of motherhood. #TheSandman

Both stories are driven by a woman (and female cat) what their only wish is to change the world around them. But while the first are slave to the wished of greed man, the second one depends of people "getting out of their caves", as Plato said. #TheSandman

And both stories have examples of toxic masculinity directly making this cat and woman victims. And while the first got help to get justice and change her place in the world, the first are still bounded by something stronger than dream: hope. #TheSandman

And also a extremely important element is the spark of the idea: while men desire in despair that Calliope give that to them, the Siamese Cat use this as a kickstart to a revolution. #TheSandman

I was missing so badly see Arthur Darvill in a DC project (still a widow of Legends of Tomorrow) and DAMN, he deliever the greatest criticism to the Joss-Whedon-arquetype i've seen in a long time. The JK Rowling quote make me laugh. #TheSandman

And the quality of animation in 'Dream of 1000 Cats' just we should praise, pay and protect animators AT ALL COSTS. We need more mature storylines in animated form, th potential is immense as live action. #TheSandman
