Ironically, what you read above totally describes Godot. It's one of the biggest echo chambers out there in #OpenSource game #GameDev community, because dissenting opinion about Godot is seen with hostility. This is also the reason why I say that Godot leadership is hypocritical.
Because of this severe bigotry, some people end up being excluded simply because their opinion might differ from the group, and they start to feel that they're not welcome to express their honest opinion about Godot and its community. It's a very dangerous bias.
Due to above, I invite you to read everything there is on #CancelGodotEngine, #GodotCult, #TruthAboutGodot if you truly care about Godot community. Otherwise, Godot's future is very dim. It's your chance to fix all of this, or it will go into oblivion. Take criticism, or be gone.
Even though @Akien decided to cancel me, I give you a mirror. I could move on and forget about this nightmare. But I'd like to think that Godot is not schizophrenic. Prove that Godot is not just an echo chamber. I'm not going to tell you how, you have to learn this yourself.
Otherwise, I'm fine if Godot community calls me insane and keeps spreading slander. As I said numerous times, I became resilient to this. In fact, it's within my interest that you call me insane. Do it more! That's how you can destroy Godot in a very short period of time.
Here's the link to discussion at Godot Contributors Chat as you see on the screenshots above:
Despite the fact that I'm cancelled by @Akien in Godot, here's a proof that I actually existed in Godot and that I'm an author of ShapeCast2D feature in Godot. They cannot erase that from history! π
First and foremost, the fact that Godot cultists call me a conspiracy theorist is nothing new. See my other thread (make sure to scroll down to see the educational video on cults):
The fact that they keep talking about me in this context is really good, because all their words and actions prove everything about Godot being a cult.
I've stumbled upon a truly covert #GodotEngine propaganda video. I don't recommend watching it, because videos like these usually induce anxiety feelings and tend not to bring any kind of value. It's created by Godot cult follower, by the way.
They try to induce anxiety feelings, attempting to convince you that you won't be able to achieve anything in game development. Then, they overtly or covertly offer you a solution: Godot!
This is exactly how cult phobia indoctrination works.
At the same time, they will "empower" you when you end up choosing Godot. These alterations of anxiety and so called "love" mold individuality to the point that it may hurt your cognition, so you may find it difficult to discover other alternatives.
Someone at Godot subreddit says: "I know we're being called a cult and stuff..."
It's nice to see that #GodotEngine becomes more self-conscious about this. If only they could research more, but they turn it into a "sign of success". π’
Seeing comments like these is painful, because it reminded me of myself in the past. It's exactly a rhetoric of a cultist. They turn the "cult" into a "sign of success", but instead of being proud, they belittle other engines, showing cult signs of "us vs them" mentality.
