🎮 Gameplay first

Blockchain can provide funding to develop a game, it's also an exciting new technology to build on.

But players in #web3 like @brycent_ keep saying:

❗ Don't forget that it's not just an investment opportunity, it's a game. It should be fun to play.

Along with designing a gameplay on an off-chain game server, spice it up with on-chain minigames!

You can deploy them through Moonstream with hardly any extra work. Let's put Game into #GameFi 👾

❗Moonstream has on-chain minigames like:

⚡Adventuring through staking;
⚡Choose Your Own Adventure multiplayer;
⚡Token sacrifice for prizes;
⚡1v1 Autobattler;
⚡BattleRacer with a turn-based Mario Kart mechanic..

Some of these are battle-tested, some are in development.

Minigames give you time to develop the main game and boost your player engagement.

🔗 Seamless blockchain connection

If players have to learn 50 new web3 terms to be able to play, have to break immersion to submit 3 transactions to complete an action.. well, it's a bad situation.

Good examples of web3 integration would be:

1. Moonstream's stashing tool for @crypto_unicorns that makes it easy for players to transfer tokens from their wallets into the game.

You can have it inside the game itself and not as a separate tool if you wish - through Moonstream's API.

2. @HellsingInu building a gasless metaverse through taxes, where players don't need to pay gas for transactions.

Not only is it more user-friendly but it also shows that these devs believe in their game and are not in it solely for monetary gains.

3. @WAX_io's @bc_brawlers game insisting on the usage of existing gaming terms for #web3 actions so that the players are instantly familiar with on-chain mechanics.

Players don't need a dictionary to start playing 🎮

🌱 Healthy economy

Don't build your game economy around 🐋 🐳. Favor skill over wealth. Smaller players should be able to form alliances and vote on changes.

If it's obvious that 5% of players own 80% of assets - players can feel that the system is unjust and leave.

🤝 Collective collaboration

Adapt game mods from web2 but make it monetizable. Try not to gatekeep your game's development.

Support modding and game tools from player community.

🫂 Achievements and loyalty programs

Add more utility to owning your #NFT game assets and to active participation in the game.

Add loyalty programs with on-chain leaderboards, claiming mechanics and easy airdrops with Moonstream's web3 game engine.

Moonstream's goal is to help developers avoid "just winging it" as much as possible.
