The Government is intent on wrecking privacy rights and monitoring us.

Almost 2 years ago we won the world's first legal challenge against police use of live #FacialRecognition tech in public.

But South Wales Police - who we beat - has used it since, and is even trialling facial rec smartphone apps so officers can use it out and about

The Met Police is ramping up its use of live #FacialRecognition in crowded areas, scanning 10s of 1000s of faces with every deployment.

And it's bought 'retroactive' tech so it can also use facial rec on old images and video footage to track and monitor people.

Alongside this new plan to monitor migrants 24/7, Gov's #PublicOrderBill introduces protest banning orders which can require protesters to be tagged.

Electronic monitoring is highly intrusive and studies show it can cause psychological harm.

The #PublicOrderBill says electronic monitoring could be imposed for up to 12 months - and even longer if the banning order is renewed.

And let's not forget we've just been in court because of MI5's unlawful spying on the population - unlawfully signed off by various Home Secretaries

It should be no surprise that this creepy Government fantasy of watching us all the time would really take off as part of its racist #HostileEnvironment.

Surveillance is always used to monitor and harass people of colour.

This plan must be and will be fought
