💩We've already established that respiratory aerosols are being produced by the infected.
💩We've already established that viable virus can be harvested from those aerosols.
A 🧵on fecal aerosols that most certainly are being generated by the infected.
Just to remind everyone - with a deadly disease like MPX, respiratory virus scientists turn to animals. And cynomolgus monkeys are an excellent stand-in for humans.
So, in this study, they exposed the poor monkeys to aerosolized monkeypox.
"This resulted in lesions affecting other lymph nodes, the thymus, spleen, skin, oral mucosa, gastrointestinal tract, and reproductive system. "
(They were also in the lungs (breathing), lower respiratory tract (breathing),
and the upper respiratory tract (breathing, talking, singing, laughing, etc) - but that's a different thread).
Gastrointestinal tract - it's not listed in the screenshot, but the intestines also had lesions.
The intestines are where we generate...gas from.
The colon and rectum
of course are through which fecal matter is passed.
If it passes through a virii-filled lesion, it will pick up virii.
Aerosols are generated when we eliminate both from the splash and the action itself (surprisingly large amount from urine, too, actually).
Aerosols, of course, are generated when we pass gas - and those aerosols will go directly through the lesions in the colon and rectum and be carried along.
I'd like to thank Ben for setting this thread up to demonstrate how close contact is actually near field aerosols. And
more specifically, close contact with changing diapers and toilet assistance, also involves near field aerosols.
Since MPX aerosols are viable out to 90 hours? I'd highly recommend wearing an N95 or N100 elastomeric respirator when you use a public restroom.
Please don't forget that both the WHO and CDC recommend HCWs wear N95s minimum while caring for those infected with monkeypox.
Since we are just like HCWs with tennis court-sized lungs? It would be nice if they would recommend them for us.
Until then - you've got me and a few
hundred of other folks just like me, that witnessed, and continue to witness, the CDC's lies under Redfield and Walensky - and call them out.
As always, I call for the good people in the CDC to whistleblow on Walensky. We know she is calling the shots with a small group of
buddies, instead of the usual consultative way they used to make decisions in.
H/t @RougeMatisse for the excellent thread that brought my attention to the learning opportunity that I quote-tweeted.
Quick clarification - no MPX detected in urine so far. I was referring to the act of urinating, which does generate an ungodly amount
