One week from today, the Israeli government will impose severe new travel restrictions that will further discriminate against Palestinian people.

These new travel restrictions will force Palestinian people to hand over invasive surveillance information such as family member ID numbers.

The restrictions will also prevent Palestinian people from visiting Palestine, cruelly separate families, & cause further racial trauma.
Israel's new travel restrictions will further discriminate against Palestinians & separate them from family.

Yet @StateDept @DHSGov want to bring Israel into the visa waiver program—so Israeli nationals can enter the U.S., while Palestinian Americans can't visit their homeland.

The loss of renowned and beloved Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh is beyond devastating. Shireen was targeted & shot dead by Israeli forces while reporting in Jenin this morning. 🧵

Rest in peace, Shireen. Your voice will be remembered in the struggle for liberation.
The eyewitness accounts from journalists at the scene are clear: Israeli snipers targeted Shireen and shot her in the head near her ear, exactly where her press helmet did not protect her.

When regimes kill journalists, it is not a mistake. It is carefully calculated state violence designed to silence truthful reporting. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate reports that Israel has killed about 50 Palestinian journalists since 2000.
