Since former President Donald Trump announced last night that the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, Republican candidates and elected officials, including several in Nevada, have flooded social media to condemn the FBI and DOJ. 👇
Republican #nvsen candidate @AdamLaxalt described the raid as an "example of the growing weaponization of our federal agencies by the Left."
Rep. @MarkAmodeiNV2 issued the following statement on the raid. Like others raising the alarm on what they see as the politicization of federal agencies, Amodei said the FBI and DOJ have been "uber-politicized."
Republican #nvsos candidate @VoteJimMarchant has put out a "call to action" for "America First" politicians to come to "an emergency meeting here in Las Vegas," a city he seems to describe as "the source code for election fraud," to express solidarity with Trump.
One more I caught today — Republican NV treasurer candidate @VoteFiore tweeted Trump's statement on the search, but did not provide any of her commentary:
Republican #NV03 candidate @VoteAprilBecker is now out with a fundraising email calling on people to sign a petition demanding that the search warrant for Trump's home be released and asking for a $15 donation.
