Most of the Buddhist today don't understand the Dhamma.

#Dhammam by @beemji, like every piece of unapologetic work of art, has initiated an important discussion around Budhha & Dhamma.
Many cases of misreporting had been brought to the knowledge of the Buddha while he was alive.
There are similar doctrines that also have a place in the Brahminic religion like karma and rebirth ; consequently, it was easy for the Bhanakas to incorporate brahminic tenets into buddhist religion.
One has therefore to be very careful in accepting what is said in the Buddhist canonical literature as being the word of the Buddha.
If there is anything which could be said with confidence it is: He (Budhha) was nothing if not rational, if not logical.

Anything therefore which is rational and logical, other things being equal, may be taken to be the word of the Buddha.

(Budhha and His Dhamma by Ambedkar)
The 2nd thing is that the Buddha never cared to enter into a discussion which was not profitable for man's welfare. Therefore anything attributed to the Buddha which did not relate to man's welfare cannot be accepted to be the word of the Buddha

What is not Dhamma

#Dhammam
I will attach photos of laughing budhha often depicts Buddha (Budai) with children climbing all over him.

It is part of Buddhism ( I know it is not Gautam Buddha) . But children climbing Buddha is part of Budhhism.

DO WE NEED CASTE-BASED RESERVATION IN 21st CENTURY?

A thread 🧵 Image
WAS RESERVATION ONLY FOR 10 YEARS ?

Only the political reservations (seats reserved in Loksabha, Vidhansabha, etc) were to be reserved for 10 yrs and the policy review was to be made after that. So after every 10 yrs the parliament extends political reservations.

(Article 334) Image
WHY CAN'T WE PROVIDE RESERVATION ON ECONOMIC CRITERION?

An individual’s Economic status can change. But Caste doesn't change with money. People need reservation for equal representation of oppressed people in all the powerful and decision making positions.

I got all India rank 34(overall) & got 2nd rank in SC category in ICAR JRF (Entomology) in 2016. But I couldn't get University of my choice because that year some University didn't even had a single seat for Scheduled Caste (SC in Entomology department.

#CasteReservation #Merit
So eventually I selected a decent University, but not of my liking. Students from general category got selected from state exam (state reservation) and joined me there.
I appeared an all India exam (central) and they appeared state exam to reach the same place.
Then two of those general category batchmates have the audacity to say they were more meritorious than me.

I challenged them to appear the central exam next year & compare the scores. But they denied saying "Ambedkarwadi logo ka yahi prblm hai" 😅

Can a poor ever become capitalist?

Can a woman ever become patriarchal?

Can a Dalit ever become brahminical? Image
Those who are quick to say Yes to One of them and No to other on the above 3 question need to make their thinking strong and clear.

He/she is a hypocrite.
But, people who say yes to all of them are called liberals. But I am not one of them.

For me, a poor can never become a capitalist.
A woman can never become patriarchal.
A Dalit can never become brahminical.
