The Republican Party is complicit in the biggest breach of national security in U.S. history.
A reminder of who the person is that this party has decided to defend to their last breath: The biggest traitor in American history.
Every time Trump had a choice between standing with the United States and our allies vs. standing with our worst enemies, he chose our enemies. Every. Single. Time.
#TraitorTrump
Even after leaving office, which only happened after the deadly insurrection he fomented on the U.S. Capitol failed, Trump has continued to fawn over Putin. He called his illegal attack and invasion of Ukraine “genius, savvy, and so smart.”

The Republican Party is the party of violent extremism and domestic terrorism.
They did this. Deliberately.
And we widen to reveal:

One claim I’ve heard ad nauseam from MAGA is that Trump “has been robbed of due process” by these hearings. The J6 committee are not prosecutors conducting a trial. They are an investigative team tasked with uncovering the truth for the American people about January 6th.
Trump constantly attacks the credibility of the committee by claiming they are conducting a “partisan witch hunt” or “political smear campaign,” but this is patently false. This is a bipartisan committee that has shown testimony almost exclusively from lifelong Republicans.
The most striking thing about the findings the committee has revealed over the first 8 public hearings is just how comprehensive and expansive Trump’s efforts were to illegally cling to the power of the Presidency. Not a single piece of new evidence has served to exculpate him.

We are within 30 minutes (give or take) of a verdict for Steve Bannon.
The jury is back in the courtroom and has reached a verdict
Jury deliberated for about 3 hours total (including lunch). Waiting for them to be seated and judge to address jury.

Here we go…(Jan 6th Hearing #8)
#January6thCommiteeHearings
Chairman Bennie Thompson appears via video because he recently tested positive for COVID. He says he will appear via video in today’s hearing in accordance with CDC guidelines and has authorized the Vice Chair Liz Cheney to gavel the committee in and out and swear in witnesses.
Thompson recaps what the committee has shown in the first 7 hearings: Trump lost the 2020 election. He knew he had lost the election. Yet he not only refused to concede, he pushed his Big Lie about a stolen election and commanded a mob he knew was heavily armed to the Capitol.

Women won’t go back to a time when they couldn’t get abortions. And LGBT Americans will not go back to a time when we couldn’t get married, visit each other in the hospital, be on our spouse’s insurance, have joint bank accounts, shared property/pensions, and start families. Ever
My fiancé and I got our marriage license last week. All I could think about the entire time we were at City Hall was “This has only been protected at the federal level for seven years.” You don’t grant rights and then take them away. That’s not how anything works.
We live in a solid blue state but LGBT rights are being attacked throughout the country. This is one of the many reasons we always stand with women when their rights are on the line. Because we know ours are next. And both Thomas and Cruz have already set their sights on them.

.@tedcruz says the Supreme Court “overreached” when it legalized same-sex marriage.

No, Ted. Government overreach is the Court violating the freedoms of the 14th Amendment and meddling in our choices re: who to sleep with, marry, and whether or not (and when) to have children.
The fact that I need to explain this to a Harvard Law School graduate is a tragic indictment of just how far you have fallen.
Freedom of choice means that if you oppose same-sex marriage, you are free to never get married to someone of the same sex and if you oppose abortion, you are free to never have one. Your opposition does not entitle you to take freedoms away from nor dictate the choices of others
