She’s been fighting for NYers in gov & advocacy roles for over a decade, first serving as Chief of Staff to @rontkim. In 2016, she was elected in a historic landslide victory becoming the 1st AAPI woman in the NYS Assembly & 1st Asian-American to represent Chinatown in State Leg.
Since, she has built a movement in NY to fight for transparency, accessibility, and accountability in our government. In Albany, Yuh-Line stands up to systemic corruption and negligence and is a powerful voice for tenant protections, affordable housing, consumer protection,
long-term pandemic planning, a Green New Deal, and fair taxation of the ultra-wealthy to fund crucial social services.
At the height of the COVID pandemic, @yuhline was on the front lines with volunteers, bringing food, masks, & emotional support to people in her district, including delivering kosher meals to Jewish constituents in need. Through the ongoing crisis, she’s fought to stop evictions,
Yuh-Line will be an organizer in Congress who’s never afraid to acknowledge the depth of a crisis we face and take the level of urgent action we need to keep each other safe.
For years @yuhline courageously stood up to authoritarian-style leadership from bullies like Andrew Cuomo. She was among the 1st legislators to publicly challenge him over his abusive behavior and corruption, and she never backed down, even in the face of retaliation and threats.
Unlike the other leading candidates in the race, Yuh-Line doesn’t accept any donations from real estate, fossil fuels, or other corporate interests. Dan Goldman, by contrast, has taken donations from personal friends of Trump like Stephen Ross,
and Dan Goldman is prepared to spend $5 million of his own money on this campaign. He has wavered on abortion rights, opposed #MedicareForAll, and won’t commit to the actual Green New Deal. #GND
Carlina Rivera has taken money from corporate developers who are contributing to the lack of affordability in NY-10 & was recently endorsed by a PAC closely aligned w crypto-billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, raising concerns about her position on the dangerous cryptocurrency sector.
For Yuh-Line, solidarity w/ Jews is a very personal issue. When she was a little girl in El Paso it was the Jewish community that befriended and included her family of Taiwanese immigrants. It was Camp Shamayim that gave her refuge from the bullying she experienced in school.
It is the Jewish community in New York City that has shown up in solidarity with @yuhline’s own AAPI community in response to the recent increase in hate violence.
It’s the bravery of these two communities that modeled for Yuh-line what it means to fight. #JewsForAsians.
The person we send to represent us in Washington, more than anything else, needs to possess courage. & when it comes to courage, no other candidate in the race can hold a candle to Yuh-line.
So vote for @yuhline!

Some highlights: Robert Jackson has been a true partner to @JFREJNYC! Together in 2018, we defeated the Independent Democratic Caucus (#IDC) — the group of Democrats who caucused with Republicans and blocked key legislation, like measures to protect abortion access.
1993, Robert Jackson led a monumental lawsuit over NY’s failure to adequately fund the neediest school districts. He’s kept up that fight for almost 30 years, securing billions of dollars in funding and back-pay for our school districts! ny1.com/nyc/all-boroug…
We invite all Jewish New Yorkers — all NYers, period — to join us in condemning these mailers and their use of division, fear, and ugly stereotypes to mislead Jewish voters, smear a progressive Black leader like @JamaalBowmanNY, and try to divide our communities.
.@JamaalBowmanNY is a leader in Congress advocating for comprehensive education about racism & antisemitism, and investigating far-right extremism & neo-Nazis in law enforcement. He’s a leader in fighting for a care economy where we can all live with dignity and independence.
It’s also worth nothing that @JamaalBowmanNY’s positions on Israel-Palestine and human rights approach — things his opponents are trying to smear him over — are shared by a large and growing percentage of American Jews.
Trump accused Jewish Democrats of “disloyalty” this week. Many have pointed out how dangerous this centuries-old accusation has been, leading to violence and expulsion.
It also destroys movements. Here's a story from US history of the disloyalty accusation against Jews.
Just 8 years after the Holocaust, in 1953, Julius & Ethel Rosenberg, members of the Communist Party, were the first civilians in American history to be executed for espionage.
Many Leftist Jews were terrified about what might happen next.
A little context: It was the Red Scare. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 revoked citizenship from Leftist recent immigrants. The Dennis trials convicted community organizers of treason. Jews, seen as foreign, radical, and conspiratorially powerful, were often targeted.
