and truly it was all Jungkook's fault, it was Jungkook who introduced Kim Seokjin's songs to Yoongi, it was Jungkook who raved about how beautiful his voice is and how he would love to collaborate with Seokjin & it was also Jungkook who found out about Yoongi's crush on the man

Sure Yoongi loves Jungkook to a fault but its because of him that Yoongi has been reduced to a pining lover unable to even interact with the man of his dreams. He has always been fine with rumors but what he is not fine with is to confess his feelings to an almost stranger

So what he needs to do is to wear his big boy pants and strike when the iron is hot, especially when Seokjin lamented about his single status, but it's also true that he does not know what to do next

As Seokjin puts his phone down after deciding a time and place with yoongi, his apartment door is bombarded by rampant knocks. If he didn't know who was at the door, he might have not sighed but this was an other story, he knew what was awaiting him on the other side of the door

and so it was, Taehyung and Jimin barged into his house, complaining about their heavy bags, now this was different, if they were staying over they should have already informed him and he had no idea of things cooking in their minds. As he closed the door and looked at them

he found out that their bags were already unzipped. "Cmon loser, let's educate you." Their education materials contained everything about agustd, even a cd player to play the tracks unavailable to streaming platforms and just then Seokjin knew, it was gonna be a long night.

But what he did not predict was the hell that broke lose when he told them that he was going to have lunch with suga, or as they call him Yoongi, tomorrow. Despite him denying it so many times, they still called the meeting a date, going as far as to dress him up for the day

"This is a date hyung, think of it as so, its been a while you were in a relationship." "I wonder why Tae." Seokjin replies, remembering his last relationship when his very friend advised him to leave his then boyfriend time and time again. It wasn't that Seokjin wasn't happy

without a relationship, it was just that he was a hopeless romantic. All his relationships, whether short or long terms ended ugly for him. Even if it was ended on great terms, it was difficult for him to imagine himself without the person. And that was followed by a bitter heart

, and even bitter feelings towards himself. That did not pair up with his career for many people approached him for fame and materialistic reasons. And it wasn't as if he could not look through them, he could but always when its too late to say something. But that was his past

, a long lost part of him that he does not want to return too. Sure he wants to be in love with someone and think of them when he writes his song, but he also is very happy without it, so even if a date sounds quite inviting, he is way better thinking of it as simple hanging out.

But alas it was a big deal when he saw Yoongi for the first time. The man looked like he had taken some time to look both comfortable and nice and that was quite apparent. Wearing a rust cardigan over a cream colored shirt, yoongi looked like he came just right after a photoshoot

and that wasn't all that caught Seokjin's breath, it was the wide smile that accessorized his face, quite uncanny of the experience he had learning about the rapper agustd the past day. Had he not looked at Yoongi so intently, he might have remembered that he hasn't sat yet.

"Jin ss- hyung, is it okay if I call you hyung?" Yoongi says hurriedly, while gesturing at the seat besides him. It wasn't that Yoongi couldn't deal with people, he was way too good with that. But in all the ways he thought about their first meeting, and everything followed that

, none of this was like that. All the times he saw Seokjin through the screens or pictures, none of them could've paid justice to how good he actually looked, but even then Yoongi can calm himself . Its just when Seokjin came and stood there, is when he didn't know what to do.

"Yes, you can call me hyung." Seokjin replies after a while walking to where Yoongi was gesturing. "I hope I didn't make you wait too long." Seokjin scratches the back of his neck, he was on time but it still felt as if he was late. "No, no you didn't, I just ordered some food -

in that time." Yoongi placates him & tries to start a conversation on their shared passion, music. If he knows anything about Seokjin, it's that his love for music showed in his work and it mirrored Yoongi's own love, it was raw & unadulterated, unable to be stopped by any force

As they talked to each other about themselves, their likes and dislikes, they soon found out that they had quite a bit in common, yet so uncommon. It did not take long from talking as artists to talk as people and they didn't feel like they were meeting for the first time.

If anyone were to see them, they would say that they are good acquaintances, if not good friends, and at the end of the meeting, even they themselves, would think the same, whether it was the soju's fault or not, no one would be there to prove.

Seokjin did not expect that after their first meeting, they would fall in a comfortable routine. What started as messages asking about how their day went converted to long conversations over the course of a few weeks. It was when his phone pinged during his movie time with-

Taehyung and Jimin is that he realized that the rapper agustd is not at all what he thought he was, provided he knew about him for half a day before meeting him wasn't enough substantial evidence but still, his point stands. They could not meet again because of their schedules -

but they still talked whenever they got time and call it intuition or something, Seokjin thinks that this Min Yoongi would be there on the same list of good friends that Jimin and Tae are.

Yoongi knew that he wasn't playing by the rules, normally he could have asked hobi to further things between, but he quite liked the speed that they are going. It wasn't even remotely anything but friendship, but Seokjin was a good friend, except him sending random selfies,

pictures of food that he made, and voicenotes in the morning and playing with Yoongi's poor heart, he was fun to talk to and talk about to his friends, so much so that jungkook asks how Jin hyung is everytime they meet. And it surprised Yoongi that how different and similar

Seokjin is to the one he thought about, and that made him fall for the man even more, so much so that he fears meeting him again as to not speak out his heart accidentally. This shouldn't be a problem as Yoongi knows when to speak and when to keep quiet but it would be difficult

in front of Seokjin, as is his inability to stop smiling whenever he thinks of the man. Namjoon called him a textbook lover one day and he couldn't help but agree to it, he didn't know when he started liking Seokjin but he supposes it came to him as natural as breathing, easily.

Yoongi heard the tune for the first time and cracked his knuckles, which gave an excuse of a noise, so much for healthy bones, he thinks. He could see that this was a very good piece and Seokjin's tired voice fitted the tune but remained seperate at some parts, and he could see-

what Seokjin meant, it just needed some slight caulking, but just as he was done with some slight caulking, he could see the bright rays peek through his dark curtains, he silently hoped that Seokjin might have slept until now but his gut was telling him that won't be the case.

If this was some other time, Yoongi would have shortcircuited but he wasn't able to completely fathom what has just happened, so the best thing he can do is to go to his bed and let himself fall freely into the sweet engulf of sleep and think about it some other time.

It wasn't that Seokjin did not know that Yoongi was in fact, beautiful, but he still did not think about that actively. He was as beautiful as people are, each one made with love and sun and the stars, but the more he saw his friend in a different way now, the more he sees

how beautiful Yoongi is. And it should be a surprise to Seokjin that his feelings towards Yoongi are entering the gray area, and despite him not thinking about it and steering his mind away from the mere thought, it seems unavoidable. He is a great friend, Seokjin repeats

right before getting ready to go on a picnic with him, a reward to Yoongi after the other man has helped him. According to him this is working greatly since he is thinking about what to cook for Yoongi rather than Yoongi himself and believe it or not this is a positive.

When Yoongi arrived at the location sent by Seokjin, he was surprised to see that Seokjin was already on a boat, preparing fishing baits and tuning the rods, unaware of Yoongi's presence and Yoongi being none the wiser, took his great time to look at the man, his brow scrunching

and his face reddening due to the heat. Yoongi did not know how much time has passed until he was called by Seokjin to join him on the boat. "No no I cannot do this at all", exclaims Yoongi when Seokjin gives him the rod. "Not at least you try, and we aren't gonna starve, -

I have a stash of ramyun here." Seokjin pats the bag besides him."And how do you know, maybe you are a natural genius at it, like you hold the rod for the first time and catch the kraken." Seokjin continues, and holds the rod in Yoongi's face until Yoongi takes it and releases it

in the water, and not to his surprise he could not even hold the rod properly. Combined with the fact that there were heavy tides, Yoongi couldn't get a good grip of the rod at all. What he didn't notice was how Seokjin's hands tighten around his own to balance the weight

on the rod. When he finally felt like he could hold the rod steadily is when he started to notice his surroundings. The first thing that hit Yoongi was the feeling of Seokjin's breath tickling his neck following by the smell of his shampoo which combined with the scent of the sea

made yoongi's heart beat even more faster. It is true that the unexpected things hit you the most than the ones you think about every day and Yoongi did not know how to tackle the situation he is in at the moment. "See that's it, take it slowly, just hold the rod tightly and -oh,

we caught something, Yoongi we caught something on the first try, you're a natural." As Seokjin says this, Yoongi feels the rod get caught on something and looking at Seokjin's expression, he thinks its something good. A few minutes later they finally pull the rod and Yoongi was

glad to see that Seokjin's intuition was right, it was actually a medium sized fish, that was a good thing if it comes to it, but he swears that he does not care about the fish. It was Seokjin's loud triumphant laugh that entrapped him as the other man boasted about their first-

catch. "You should do it again and we would compete, the person who gets the smaller catch will cook. Seokjin exclaims happily, way too enthusiastic about their competition and yes Yoongi would let him win happily, if he did not want to taste his cooking that is.

and it actually turned out that it was Yoongi's lucky day that despite being fishing extraordinaire, Seokjin could not catch anything before Yoongi. This ended up in pretty funny outcomes, with Seokjin calling it beginner luck and bemoaning his own fate while grilling the seafood

and stirring the pot oframyun alternatively. It wasn't as if he did not catch stuff afterwards, but he still couldn't believe that he lost and is made to cook despite Yoongi helping him and cutting up the veggies. "You, don't smile like this, next time I'll definitely win."

Seokjin points the spatula at him making Yoongi chuckle silently, "I'm not smiling because I won, I'm smiling cause it smells good." He raises his arms in mock defeat, making it clear that no one could mock the king of the sea. "I'll believe you,,, for now." Seokjin looks at him

with a tightened expression before laughing. He does not know what came upto him but he found himself unable to stop after looking at Yoongi's mock expression of defeat. It was cute, almost way too cute for Seokjin to handle and he did not have it in him to worry if their food

would burn down. It wasn't until Yoongi called him out that he realized that his grilled fish was quite charred and he flipped it quickly, to save him from any embarrassment or burnt food. In a while they sat on the foldable chairs, the table in front of them decked with food

ready for them to enjoy. "How's the food Yoongi sshi, I hope you like it." Seokjin pushes a strand of his hair behind his ear, seemingly nervous about the whole ordeal. It wasn't that he wasn't confident in his cooking, people who ate his food had nothing but hood things to say

about it, but still some part of him wanted to impress the younger man. He does not know when or where he had started to feel like that, but he knew that it was not just a friendly thought process. "Jin hyung it's good, really good." Yoongi replies as he takes a sip of his drink.

It could be that Yoongi was particularly hungry today, or it could be that he was surrounded by good environment and sitting besides an even better person, is why he is enjoying it too much but whatever it was, it was a much needed break from his work set up and black coffee.

If Yoongi was thinking of keeping it as friendship for even a minute before, he sure as hell is thinking the opposite now. It was true that he was scared to lose the opportunity but what he was more scared, no petrified, of was seeing Jin sad.

He has seen the longing in the man's eyes when they came across couples, and it wasn't something that he'd particularly care about unless he was in love with the older man. And there it was, Min Yoongi is in love with Kim Seokjin, the feeling a burning ember in his heart.

Realizaton usually is followed by confession, and even the bravest soldiers fail at this step. The planning, or the lack of it is mostly accompanied by anxiety, and Yoongi was not immune to it. 'What if he rejects?' 'What if he thinks its too fast?' 'What if?'
This was not good

he needs to act now and act fast. Especially fast enough that his own thoughts don't sabotage his life. See Yoongi has always been direct about his wants, and he gets what he wants. But Seokjin is not a want at all, he can only speak his heart and leave the decision to the guy.

After having a sleepover with his friends, that included less sleeping and more talking, Seokjin decided to follow his heart and confess to the person he thought of everytime he listened to his own song. It was not easy, and nor did he think that it was gonna be a smooth sailing

if they get into a relationship, but he still wanted to try. He does honor their friendship more than anything, and he does not know if the younger man thinks of him the same way even in the slightest, but fuck it, he deserves to be happy, he deserves to take that chance of 1%

The second Seokjin ends his day and changes into his other pair of clothing, he gets a call from Yoongi that he is waiting for him outside the building. He didn't expect that the congratulations package also got free pick and drop but he sure his thankful for it.

He goes down and sees Yoongi outside the car in the cold night. This does not seem the least bit intelligent and Seokjin chides him on it, especially when he sees how red Yoongi's nose has become. Yoongi just nods and replies the same thing, "You are doing the same thing by-

telling me the same thing, and it's not even that cold outside, my nose is just sensitive."
"I don't believe you, you could become olaf and still say its nothing." Seokjin replies, pouting while getting into the car.
"I'm not Olaf, I'm Jack." Yoongi replies making Seokjin laugh.

"Where are you taking me though?" Seokjin asks. "You will know when you see it." Yoongi replies, looking at the road.
And yes it was a sight when they arrived, albeit after 3 whole hours, which Seokjin does not see the positive to. But he trusted Yoongi and tomorrow was sunday so

he was quite excited about it. And there it was, Unyeo beach, who would come to the beach at night, Seokjin would ask but one look at the sky and he knew why it was. The sky was filled with stars, shining so brightly in the dark that it felt like day. He looked at Yoongi-

who stood sheepishly beside him, nervously rubbing his hands. "This is not everything, there's more." Yoongi says in a low voice and calls someone. And only in minutes were it all staged, a bonfire, food and drinks, and warm picnic blankets.

"People say that you can see the whole milky way from here so I-" Yoongi is cut by Seokjin who speaks so low, almost whispering "It's beautiful, lets go!!." Seokjin pulls Yoongi's hand and takes him to sit on the blankets. He looks at Yoongi as he holds the tea cup in his hand,

"and you prepared all this too, this is the best congratulations gift Yoongi sshi, I would never have expected this to be a surprise."
"Well the stars were incomplete without their moon, so I did them a favor." Yoongi looks at him straight im eye, making Seokjin chuckle nervously

It was no lie that Yoongi wanted to congratulate Seokjin, but his thoughts were far more nefarious than that, he wanted to confess to the other man. He tried hard to think about big gestures, but ended up with this. What he didn't expect however was how happy that made Seokjin.

"I love you." comes from Seokjin barely audible, easily overtaken by the waves. But it was still audible enough to be heard by Yoongi. "You," Yoongi pauses, too taken aback at the moment, "love me?" He questions.
"Yes Yoongi sshi, I am sure that I love you." Seokjin says, trying-

his best to sound confident and for his voice to not break, he's a vocalist for fucks sake. "Oh? You destroyed my plan." Yoongi replies, still a bit delirious from the confession. "What plan? What are you talking about Yoongi sshi."

"I was going to ask you out today, but you did it already." Yoongi pouts, he does not seem to hold a control over his expressions today, it seems. "What should I do no, take it back? You don't know how hard was it for me to say it, I didn't even plan for it to be today,-

it came out accidentally, okay I'm gonna take it back." Seokjin replies, his voice increasing with every word, not realizing that Yoongi loves him back.
" Wait no don't take it back, wait I even had to think about the proper time and stuff but it doesn't matter anymore."

Yoongi continues, after regulating his breath, "Jin hyung will you be my boyfriend? I know that you would think I just know about you from a tweet few months ago but I had a crush on you for the better part of 2 years ago. Its only when I met you that I fell in love with you,

and I think, no I believe that you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, I hope you would accept my feelings, yeah there i said it."
"You didn't breathe a single second, you have great control over your breathing." Seokjin replies, seemingly unfazed.

"Yes I trained for this, wait this is not the time Jin hyung, tell me you listened, I don't wanna say it again." Yoongi looks at Seokjin, already feeling his ears warming.
"No I didn't hear properly, say it again,was too busy looking at you." Seokjin says, trying to stay serious

"Go away Jin hyung, I don't wanna talk to you." Yoongi moves his head to look at the sea, his eyes being illuminated by the reflection of stars on the sea.
"If I go away, how would I be able see you, and yes of course I want to be your boyfriend, now look at me-

, kids these days no sense of humor." Seokjin ruffles Yoongi's hair making the other guy turn his head to look at him."I think I want to kiss you now." Seokjin smiles slightly, letting Yoongi know of his intentions and going in front of him. "Mm, you should."

It was Yoongi who leant forward to kiss Seokjin, the other man's lips salty from the sea yet a distinct sweetness of its own. Seokjin also replied to that with a kiss, slightly more fierce leaving them both breathless after a while. "Thank you for taking me here." Seokjin says,

kissing Yoongi's cheek. He does not know what would happen next, or where life would take them, but at this moment, under the vast starry sky, he is at peace and happy.

Comeback time is always anxiety inducing, it was the same now and Seokjin couldn't find a way to calm down. Not until Yoongi asked him if he could fit having a dinner with their friends in between, and he said yes before he could think about it. He was already friends with hobi

and it didn't take long to be friends with Namjoon and Jungkook. It was quite the similar experience for Yoongi too, Tae and Jimin loved Jin and by that connection liked him too. This was their first time to get together, and what Seokjin did not know was that it was for him

It was when he reached did he realize that they all gathered to cheer him up. He was happy, no not just happy, extremely happy because he knew who planned it in the first place, because only one person here knew that he was extremely anxious. His heart filled with love, it seemed

to do a lot these days. Without delaying a second he sat down and thanked them all. It wasn't even shocking that Jungkook, the youngest of the group hugged him, saying that Jin looked like he needed it. Namjoon also said that it's normal for artists to have pre comeback jitters

and the best thing to do is to spend some time outside of the environment, whatever it might be. And of course this is why they are here, to eat and drink and laugh until their stomachs hurt, but even in the presence of everyone, Yoongi's eyes seem to be looking at him all night.
