Thread - I trained for three years at a great drama school in the UK. I was blessed to work with the best people from all disciplines solidly for 22 years in showbiz. I said that the UK was a warm and welcoming country on TV two years ago.

Late in 2020 my agent dropped me after some blue tick folks called me a racist on here. I believe that all people are created equal under God and that every single human life is sacred. I do not discriminate over immutable characteristics. #AllLivesMatter

It is with bitter sweet feeling that i look forward to this film coming out (and the inevitable 1 🌟 guardian review 🤣. Sweet because it was so wonderful to be permitted to work again in a field i have such passion for. The arts.

Bitter, because i feel i may never get that opportunity again. The arts. Our release from the toil of everyday life and the thing which lifts spirits and creates new thinking, is now just another monotonous recreation of the new orthodoxy. The one which must not offend.

Art is meant to offend, unite and divide. It is our counter narrative to the current orthodoxy. It is ironic to watch it (mostly) be reduced to simple propaganda in service to an ideology which will eventually ban it. And those who were silent will also lament.

I am not a victim. I am a man who believes in all people and is concerned about the direction our culture, our art, our conversations, are heading. I am an artist. That you will never take away from me.

To any young people reading this, be yourselves, don't give in to pressure to say the right thing, just because it's fashionable today. Like jeans, that fashion will change. Speak your mind. It's worth everything. Be willing to suffer the malevolence of those who wish you ill.

Say the things you know to be true. Try to be patient with those who twist your words. Fight with all your might for your right to espress yourself freely and to disagree profoundly. And let those who cannot return truth, walk past them like driftwood on the shore.
