1 - Every fibre of my being is appalled at what Shamima Begum did. The detachment, arrogance and lack of any discernible compassion or emotion she has displayed at the consequences of her actions is sickening. 2 - Part of me is thrilled that she will never come back to the UK, and she should pay a huge price for becoming part of a nihilistic death cult, which ruthlessly beheaded charity workers and military personnel alike. It feels like the right decision. The “just” decision.

1 - Just opened Twitter after my trip to see the anger levelled at @GBNEWS following the fall out of the @MarkSteynOnline affair. I have been following Mark for years and I believe him to be one of the finest, driest and wittiest journalists on air. 2 - I think his contribution to the channel is immense and his talent incomparable. I am also surprised by the level of anger directed at the channel itself, rather than the state censorship vehicle to which he seems to have fallen foul of, @Ofcom

Thread - I trained for three years at a great drama school in the UK. I was blessed to work with the best people from all disciplines solidly for 22 years in showbiz. I said that the UK was a warm and welcoming country on TV two years ago.
