“At least 1 child and her grandmother died after the roof of their house collapsed in Charakay village in Khas Kunar district. Maize fields destroyed by flash floods and heavy rains.” Residents in Khas Kunar tells me.

The destructive force of the flash floods continue to terrorize Afghan villages, valleys and hamlets. Afghans continue to suffer from natural disasters for months now.

Afghanistan Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain and flooding in 21 provinces. More miseries on the way further complicating response and recovery efforts.
