the 'Impeccable scientific integrity' being defended here includes apparently wanting to 'seed the thought that vaccines cause covid'...
Her, and many members of HART and Global Collateral have had disproportionate influence, and their campaigns have no doubt led to deaths. Being suspended on twitter isn't the worst thing that can happen to you. Losing a loved one from COVID is far worse.
I have zero sympathy with the idea that these privileged people who had a responsibility and duty of care to the public and led disinformation campaigns that cost lives are being 'cancelled' or 'censored'...
To clarify, the above screenshot is from the #HARTleaks - these were chats between members of HART that were leaked to several journalists and were then made publicly available.

The responses to this should open people's eyes to the vile anti-vax trolls that U4T covet. Also, if you look at the prominent voices on media attacking me now, you'll see that U4T are propped up by a network of journalists & MPs - all complicit in the damage they've done.
The best you can do, if you agree is write to the covid inquiry team (this is what triggered the attacks & trolling- understandably, U4T & associated groups & media are very defensive about being investigated) -
email is
contact@covid19.public-inquiry.uk to raise concerns
Here are more details about them to share - Please amplify.
To trolls- I'm not really bothering looking at the BS you write about me, but feel free to waste your time trolling me. No skin off my back

A request: If you're privileged in ways that makes your experience not generalisable to others when they get COVID, please don't generalise your own personal experience or risk assessment to others. Be aware of your privilege & how it protects you in ways others may not be. 🧵
If your risk is mitigated because 1) you live/work in less crowded environments; 2) you are in good health; 3) have good access to healthcare/antivirals/vaccines; 4) your children attend less crowded schools, or ones with better mitigations, your risk may not be representative.
There are shocking inequities in the impact of COVID-19 - across socio-economic status, occupation, pre-existing health, disability, clinical vulnerability, ethnicity, household crowding, global vaccine access, childhood vax. Many of these factors overlap as well.

@edsuom I don't know how well the cards will get it across- they're a good tool for probability, but when you're young, you tend to feel risks don't really apply to you the same way (I used to feel like this when I was a young medic & often didn't take the precautions I should've).
@edsuom I think it's worth trying to explain the impact of long COVID- but as you say isolation does come at a cost. Is there a safer way for them to experience in-person education? Well fitting N-99 mask, air cleaning, ventilation? I know you mentioned no other mitigations, but
@edsuom could the school be persuaded to put in some HEPA air cleaners, or at least keep windows open?

🧵like this treat getting COVID as an end, long COVID as 'mild' collateral & health as individual responsibility. You can get COVID repeatedly. Impact is cumulative. Long COVID occurs in ~5% even after booster + omicron. Public health is collective responsibility not individual.
It also ignores post-covid sequelae- an illness that increases mortality, cardiovascular, renal, neurocognitive, neuropsychiatric disease, diabetes, pulmonary embolism & thrombosis down the line. With increased risk apparent for many of these even at 1 yr post- 'mild' infection.
I also find the whole approach of 'personal responsibility' rather abelist - with impacts of such an approach always increasing inequity. E.g. what if we said the ban on smoking in public places was 'personal responsibility' - how would that work? Or drinking & driving.

It's absolutely vital that UsForThem, and those who have facilitated them (including scientific advisors) are investigated by the COVID enquiry. Their lobbying and disinformation has likely had a huge impact on lack of school mitigations and delayed & poor vaccine uptake.
It's rather worrying that they may actually end up contributing to the enquiry, given the enquiry has thanked them for their letters & lifted text from the concerns they raised. Not only should they not be allowed anywhere near it, they should be specifically investigated.
It will be impossible to have any trust in an enquiry that is influenced by disinformation lobby groups that have put out blatant misinformation on vaccines and masks & campaigned against the most basic mitigations for children and families.

Important study in @Nature:
-11/14 newborns of mothers with 'resolved' COVID-19 >10 wks before delivery had SARS-CoV-2 RNA & Spike protein in stool after birth & increased gut inflammatory markers
-virus persistence in newborn gut after infection in-utero

V. important to get vaccinated if you are pregnant - and avoid infection. So far, we know that COVID during pregnancy can be associated with preterm birth, and stillbirths. Risk can be increased even with 'mild' infection during pregnancy, so it's vital to prevent this.
If you're pregnant, please take precautions (FFP2+ masks/ventilation/air cleaning/limit indoor contact/vaccines & boosters) to avoid infection - as we are still learning about the impacts on newborns. And what we know so far in terms of risks is not reassuring.
