5 people were stuck in Kohistan floods for 4 hours while PTI’s Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan did not send Helicopter for rescue despite several requests. The location was 90 minutes away from the Helipad in Peshawar. Unfortunately all of them died. RIP
Sources privy to the manifest and schedule of CM KP Mehmood Khan’s helicopter have revealed that it was reserved for Imran Khan as he had to travel to DI Khan and Tank. The requests to rescue 5 people stuck 90 minutes away from Peshawar were turned down.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mi-17 helicopter can operate in any geographical and climatic conditions, day and night, in adverse weather as per specifications of the Russian manufacturer Kazan.
It is worth mentioning that Imran Khan sent a helicopter on 8 July 2019 to rescue his family in Golain, Chitral in adverse weather conditions when road connection was blocked due to flooding in the region.
The exact location of this incident is Dubair, Lower Kohistan. 
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s VIP Configured Mi-17 as per manufacturer Kazan can be deployed in troop and arms transport, fire support, convoy escort, patrol, and search-and-rescue (SAR) missions as was needed in Dubair, Lower Kohistan.
Police, local press and administration has confirmed death of 4 people in the tragic incident.
While CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reserved his Helicopter for Imran Khan, Government of Afghanistan is using Mi-17 helicopter with a simple rope to rescue victims of flood in Laghman province.
The people of Dubair, Lower Kohistan are commemorating it a black day to protest against the callous behavior of PTI’s Government in KP for turning a blind eye towards them. Local Social media is outpouring with tremendous disgust for not sending the helicopter.
As per protocol in civilian paraphernalia, Helicopter manifests are prepared in advance and flight-schedule is laid out well before time in order to get approval of flight plan and path and landing permissions from CAA, Air Traffic Control and Pakistan Air Force.
Mi-17 that was reserved for Imran Khan is an adverse weather rotary aircraft designed for Search and Rescue missions and all variants built to date upto 12000 from 1975 used in 60 countries have a sling for situations like we saw in Dubair, Lower Kohistan.
Weather in South Punjab was clear. This is arrival and departure board for the day in Multan. So change of plans is a lame excuse and a facade created to hide the callous gesture of not sending the helicopter for rescue in Dubair, Lower Kohistan.
