#DENGUE prevention & control :
- prevent getting bitten by mosquitoes
- overall, decrease population of mosquito
- Dengue vaccine : ONLY for people who have had Dengue previously

Rx :
Antibiotics do NOT work
Do NOT use NSAIDs (eg Flexon, Motrin..)

Mission Impossible ⚡️
- #Dengue transmitting 🦟(Aedes aegypti) can also transmit Chikungunya, Zika & Yellow fever
- ♀️🦟survives 4 wks --> can infect hundreds of people
- ♀️ lays upto 300 eggs which can survive upto 1 year
- even worst : 🦟 can pass the virus to its eggs !!

CONTROL MOSQUITOES !!
- If you want to control Dengue, control the mosquitoes
There is NO other way
- make a team lead by ENTOMOLOGIST
- start with fogging, massive public awareness , covering puddles of water, etc

BLOOD BANK be ready !!
- about 5 % of Dengue patients can face bleeding that requires transfusion of blood (PRBC) or platelets !!
- Do we have enough stock ??
- time to start BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN !!
