Bodhidharma "The Father of Shaolin Kung Fu" was an "Indian Pallava Prince" born in Kanchipuram in India, as the third son to a Pallava Raja believed to be Skandavarman IV. Bodhidharma renounced his royal life and became a Buddhist monk.

Upon instruction from his guru Prajnatara, he travelled to China to spread Mahayana Buddhism. By around 520 CE, he reached south China, began the physical training of the monks of Shaolin Monastery that led to the creation of Shaolin Kungfu.

He is known as Da Mo in China and as Daruma in Japan. His name means "Dharma of Awakening (Bodhi)" in Sanskrit.

🌺Significance of worshipping the ancestors (Pitr) in Vedic Sanatan Dharma🌺

By worshipping the ancestors one gives respect to that which has come before them, in hindu dharma pitr generally means ancestors but, also has many other levels of meaning,

it can directly relate to father or refer to both parents, or to the close ancestory that has passed on ( father, grandfather, great great grandfather), Pitrus can also refer to the ancestors who started a lineage as well as the great Rishis (sages).

Our karma is affected by our ancestors of seven generations, by propitiating the pitrus we remove karmic debts and blockages. This allows for prosperity, happy married life, good position or status, satisfaction in career and professional life.

आप सभी ने ऋषि अष्टावक्र का नाम तो सुना ही होगा। एक समय की बात है जब राधा रानी ऋषि अष्टावक्र से मिली तो राधा रानी के मुख पर एक मुस्कान थी।

उसको देखते हुए ऋषि अष्टावक्र को लगा कि मेरे कुरूप को देखते हुए राधा रानी हंस रही है तो क्रोधित होकर श्राप देने लगे तभी अचानक ही कृष्ण ने उन्हें रोका कि, राधा रानी किस वजह से मुस्कुरा रही है? इसका सच तो जान लीजिए।

ऋषि रुके और उन्होंने कहा कि, बताओ राधा रानी! तुम क्यों मुस्कुरा रही हो?

इस पर राधा रानी ने कहा, हे ऋषि! मैं आपकी अंतरात्मा को देखकर मुस्कुरा रही हूं। आपके अंदर छिपे परम ज्ञान को देखकर मुस्कुरा रही हूँ। मुझे आपके शरीर को देखकर हंसी नहीं आई।

Veer Durgadas Rathore was born on 13th August 1638. He served as a minister in the court of Raja Jaswant Singh, ruler of Marwar.

Aurangzeb,through his clever tactics,made Marwar a vassal kingdom of Mughals & involved Raja Jaswant Singh in a campaign in Afghanistan where he died.

His two queens were then already pregnant. Aurangzeb saw this as an opportunity to completely annex Marwar into the Mughal dominion and impose Mughal rule and thereby uproot Hinduism here, a fact also described in Henry Herbert Dodwell's book 'The Cambridge History of India'.

Aurangzeb brought the Rajput queens of Marwar to his palace and kept them under Mughal captivity.

Each of the two widow-queens of Jaswant Singh gave birth to a son. One of the infants died and the other Ajit Singh was thus heir to the Marwar throne.

🌺Do you know why our ancestors had the practice of throwing coins into rivers or ponds?🌺

Water stored in copper containers is good for health. Mention of storing water in copper and silver pots for purification of water is found in ancient Ayurvedic writings.
