Isak has been a player I have been looking at since December of last year. He was strongly linked with Arsenal and I was very keen on the gunners to sign him.
For the #FM22 enthusiasts, he’s incredible in the game 🤷🏻♂️
Once NEW signed the striker, I was very keen to analyse his movements during the game and if he is fit for the intensity and physicality of the #PremierLeague
With a favourable FDR, Alexander could be a super differential for the coming weeks, especially with fellow teammate Wilson currently injured.
A consistent behaviour of Isak was to position himself in the wide left areas and start to penetrate into the offensive spaces.
Mostly with a habit to cut on to his favoured right foot.
Despite the lack of touches (to be expected against LIV away), the Swede certainly did not shy away from getting involved in attacking areas.
Considering he had only signed 5 days earlier, I was pleasantly surprised by the energetic exuberance that Isak consistently portrayed.
Strength
Isak did not hesitate in adopting a physical approach when necessary.
The images below show a willingness to take on the likes of VVD and Fabinho for strength and aggression.
Positive signs for #FPL managers as he can adapt his style depending on the opposition.
Positioning & Dribbling
Isak consistently drove with the ball and succeeded with his dribbles and acceleration past LIV.
The swede is not only a “Target man” but can also play off the shoulder due to his impressive speed off the ball.
Goal
The understanding of positioning for the goal was exemplary.
Isak placed himself to offensively progress the play once the ball was received, then showed his clinical prowess to score.
