As promised, I want to further explore a PPP loan by a public figure @alexbruesewitz who led Stop the Steal rallies, and continues to drive false narratives today; and his political consultancy firm. Cont..
2) Its worth looking at these examples to learn from in future similar programs. In April 2020, x-strategies received 25k in PPP loans to secure payroll, which were eventually forgiven. In the website from sept 2020, it only showed two employees… Alex, and a Derek Utely….
3) according to Derek Utelys @realDerekUtley recent tweet, he is not an employee of the firm but it’s cofounder and partner. There may have been employees, but they were not listed under the employees section of the website. Image
4) regardless, the month before securing the PPP loan, x-strat reported 18k in income according to the FEC. In subsequent months that income increased drastically. Interestingly, Xstrat also lists clients like Freedom project, Image
5) the Independence fund, Power the future, among others. It’s unknown how much they paid as it’s not listed under the FEC site. The income is further broken down by company, such as the Great America pac paying Xstrat about 2500/month, and many other clients. Image
6). Xstrat basically created online content and trolls to swamp the RINO types. Other clients include MTG and Tom Massie. Nothing wrong with that, maybe not the healthiest for democracy however. Anyway. To attain PPP loan applicant must testify that it’s necessary….
7) for continued operation. To attain forgiveness they must attest to not lay off any employees and the loan was necessary to that end. By sept at least only two employees were listed, both the founders of x-strat. The loan was eventually forgiven, and publically listed..
8) the issue isn’t whether it was legal or illegal. I really don’t know and more than likely this isn’t an exceptional situation. The question is, with profits increasing after the loan and with the company being focused on POLITICAL consulting, is that the best use…
9) of taxpayer money? Alex had repeatedly hammered the forgiveness of student loans which i agree wasn’t wise policy, and has gone so far as to call for SEIZING endowments, a quite communist proposal… Image
10) but in the future, maybe political consultants with increasing profits based on division and anger should not benefit from taxpayer money. Particularly when the only two employees listed are the founders. You enter the public sphere and become a public person like Alex..
11) you shouldn’t get free government money to further divide us. And you shouldn’t be surprised when you rail against government spending to have your public affairs discussed. It was taxpayer money.

Over, and out.

Thread: let’s talk about this. @DiamondandSilk (omg) are implying that this man looked up to some “control room” for someone to unlock the doors with some button. So the implication is that the Capitol WANTED to be attacked and Roy here is like “hey Dave open the door”..
2). Oh heavens, now we PROVED this was all an inside job right?!?! Well no. Let’s explain this:

Those doors don’t open right away. They are emergency doors. You actually have to hold them for 5 seconds, for them to unlock. To prevent accidental bumps etc….
3) In fact it says on the doors something like “for emergency exit hold 5 seconds for alarm to sound and doors to unlock.” Of course insurrection Roy here is amped up, doesn’t see that sign, can’t open, and then does he look up to the “control room?!?” No…

1) When your friends say this committee isn’t fair, maybe remind them that those testifying are all republicans, appointed by trump. That Kevin McCarthy got a fair deal in a split commission, but then took his ball and went home. When the committee was then formed…
2) Kevin pulled his remaining three members after two, who foamented the insurrection, were not allowed to stay on. @GOPLeader COULD have then added two more, but Trump told him to pull his members…
3) he thought this “brilliant move” would pull the plug on the committee. But it didn’t. Cheney and I got on. This BIPARTISAN committee has been able to find out things that up until recently were denied by the Jan 6th truthers…

1) Brief mask thread: Ok on the masks on planes issue: America is tired of wearing them. Fighting the ruling is terrible politics. But let me also say that anyone who knows how airplane pressurization works, knows they have the cleanest air you will find almost anywhere. Why?
2) an airplane doesn’t inflate then recycle air. I’ve heard a lot of people say that the air that comes from vents is recycled from the plane. No. Actually it likely just came from bleed air off an engine that was so hot no virus could survive. Then, it’s expanded….
3) to make it cool. Within a few minutes it flies out the “outflow valve” into space. New air comes in. Not to mention the air is taken from whatever altitude you are flying and there isn’t Covid at 35000 feet. All pressurization in an airplane is…

Thread on Israel: so i grabbed the third rail of foreign policy today, as I said Israel needs to pick a side, and that future aid could be at stake.

I want to double down on this, let me explain.
2) I deeply support our relationship with Israel. But supporting friends doesn’t mean we look past differences. We have stood with Israel and will continue to do so. But at the moment there is a battle between Good and Evil, between a world based on raw power or…
3) one based one the post WW2 rules. Everyone must pick a side. The outcome of this fight will impact the world my son grows up in, and now is the time to call anyone to the carpet who does not do their utmost.

Short thread 1) I fear that allowing that 40 mile long convoy in #Ukraine being allowed to sit for days will be written in history as a massive mistake in world history, similar to nazi invasion of France.
2) we are allowing #Putin to set the rules of the war, as he threatens nuclear, biological and chemical weapon use, we are stalled with fear of escalation. Transferring Migs to #Ukraine is no different than the weapons we are sending..
3) Yet we OPENLY state what we will NOT do, and allow Putin to say what he MIGHT do. He has illegally contested the airspace of #Ukraine and we have been invited to stop that by the legitimate owners of the sky, but we may have to shoot down a Russian jet. Yep..
