Thiruchenthurai village near Trichy, situated on the south bank of the Cauvery river, Tamil Nadu, has been designated as a Waqf property by the TN Waqf Board.
The issue was uncovered when a person, Rajagopal, attempted to sell his 1 acre 2 cents of land to one Rajarajeshwari.
When Rajagopal, a resident of the nearby village Mullikarupur village arrived at the Registrar’s office to get the sale of his land registered, he was surprised to learn that the land did not belong to him and instead belonged to the Waqf Board. @fgautier26
“The Waqf Board has informed the Deeds Dept by letter & documentation that the entire village is theirs. It has also been stated that individuals who come to register a deed for land in the village should obtain an NOC from them,” the registrar said @annamalai_k@Indumakalktchi
When Rajagopal narrated the incident to villagers, entire village was shocked to learn that their land is not theirs. They wondered how Waqf can claim ownership of the entire village when they've all necessary documents for their respective lands, both residential & agricultural.
“There is Manendiyavalli Sametha Chandrasekhara Swamy temple in the village. According to documents & evidence, it is 1,500 yrs old. The temple holds 369 acres of property in and around Tiruchenthurai village. Is this temple property also owned by the Waqf Board? @BJP4TamilNadu

Little Billy & Lucy are only 12 years old, but they know they are in love. One day they decide that they want to get married. Billy goes to Lucy's father to ask him for her hand.
Billy bravely walks up to him & says, "Mr. Smith, me & Lucy are in love.
I want to ask you for her hand in marriage"
Thinking that this was just the cutest thing. Mr. Smith replies,"Well Billy, you're only 12. Where will you two live?"
Without taking a moment to think, Billy replies,"In Lucy's room. It's bigger than mine. We can both fit there nicely"
Still thinking this is just adorable, Mr. Smith says with a huge grin,"Ok, then how'll you live? You're not old enough to get a job. You'll need to support Lucy"
A woman brought a very limp duck to a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope & listened to the duck's chest.
After a moment or two, the vet shook his head sadly & said, “I’m sorry, your duck Cuddles, has passed away.”
The distressed woman wailed, “Are you sure?”
“Yes, I'm sure. The duck is dead” replied the Vet
“How can you be so sure?” she protested. “I mean you haven’t done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something”
The vet rolled his eyes, turned around & left the room. He returned a few minutes later with a Labrador.
As the duck’s owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom.
