"Karuppi" in "#PariyarumPerumal" is the metaphor used by @mari_selvaraj to signify everyone who doesn't understand the Caste system properly, but still suffers because of the Caste system.
Pariyan and his friends left the Pond. Then UC man urinate in the pond.
The UC old man killed a girl, the girl and her family will never know the reality.
UC old man kills a boy by drowning him in water. Ramalaxmi and his friends will never know the reason.
UC old man kills a man and there is a shot in which his gf is crying at the last seat of the bus. She will never understand the reason.
The police officer slaps and kicks the village head of Pariyan's village. He will never understand the reason.
JO didn't know why Pariyan was upset She will never know about casteist side of her father and relatives.
Pariyan's father would never understand why he was humiliated by the UC men at his son's Law college.
The caste is like the train.. you are already tied to the track without your choice.. you can bark but you can't escape.. even if you escape you don't know if you will face another life threatening attack in future. Caste will haunt you even if you don't understand it.

The reasons why Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar cannot be referred to as a Brahmin

A thread 🧵
1. He wrote Riddles in Hinduism to expose the brahminical scriptures, that no brahmin can do.
2. He wrote about Annihilation of Caste to remind the brahmin that they are the reason behind existence of Caste.

Her (2013) - Movie Review

"Her" is the only movie that has managed to capture all of the nuances, complexity and the hypocrisy of a relationships and Love. It is the only SciFi film I have ever watched that feels like a reality of near future.

#HerMovie
It continuously make you think

What is a relationship?
What makes it work?
Why do we want it?
Real people are more complex or an OS with feelings and consciousness?

DO WE NEED CASTE-BASED RESERVATION IN 21st CENTURY?

A thread 🧵
WAS RESERVATION ONLY FOR 10 YEARS ?

Only the political reservations (seats reserved in Loksabha, Vidhansabha, etc) were to be reserved for 10 yrs and the policy review was to be made after that. So after every 10 yrs the parliament extends political reservations.

(Article 334)
WHY CAN'T WE PROVIDE RESERVATION ON ECONOMIC CRITERION?

An individual’s Economic status can change. But Caste doesn't change with money. People need reservation for equal representation of oppressed people in all the powerful and decision making positions.

I got all India rank 34(overall) & got 2nd rank in SC category in ICAR JRF (Entomology) in 2016. But I couldn't get University of my choice because that year some University didn't even had a single seat for Scheduled Caste (SC in Entomology department.

#CasteReservation #Merit
So eventually I selected a decent University, but not of my liking. Students from general category got selected from state exam (state reservation) and joined me there.
I appeared an all India exam (central) and they appeared state exam to reach the same place.
Then two of those general category batchmates have the audacity to say they were more meritorious than me.

I challenged them to appear the central exam next year & compare the scores. But they denied saying "Ambedkarwadi logo ka yahi prblm hai" 😅

Most of the Buddhist today don't understand the Dhamma.

#Dhammam by @beemji, like every piece of unapologetic work of art, has initiated an important discussion around Budhha & Dhamma.
Many cases of misreporting had been brought to the knowledge of the Buddha while he was alive.
There are similar doctrines that also have a place in the Brahminic religion like karma and rebirth ; consequently, it was easy for the Bhanakas to incorporate brahminic tenets into buddhist religion.
