If God is love (1 Jn 4:8,16), and Jesus performed the greatest act of love (Jn 15:13) on the cross (1 Pe 2:24), then Jesus is God!

The Greek word monogenes comes from two Greek terms: monos meaning “one” and the noun genes which means “kind” or “type.” So, you put these two words together and you have monogenes which means: “unique,” “only,” or “one of its kind.”

This is why only begotten and only are the same thing.

Jesus is the only, unique, one of a kind Savior.
