You will notice that in the sentence “… For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”” the He is italicized, meaning that it does not appear in the Greek scriptures, only in some english translations.

Either way it makes no difference when you consider Isaiah chapters 40—55, where God repeatedly says, “I am he”. See Is 41:4;43:10;43:13;48:12.

The undeniable conclusion Is that Jesus is the great I AM of exodus 3:14-16, the same ‘I Am [He]’ of Isaiah & Deuteronomy, made manifest in the flesh (Jn 1:1-3,14).

Jesus is Yahweh, he IS God!

I AM the Bread of Life (6:35,41,48,51); I AM the Light of the World (8:12); I AM the Door of the Sheep (10:7,9); I AM the Good Shepherd (10:11,14); I AM the Resurrection and the Life (11:25); I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life (14:6); and I AM the True Vine (15:1,5).

This is all in the Book of John.
