A few quick thoughts about Putin calling for 300,000 Russian soldiers to go fight (and die) in Ukraine

A few points of reality. Short Thread

First. Remember his original invasion was 190,000 soldiers. 55,000 of them have died. Over 100,000 injured. Maybe 30,000 reinforcements Image
Russian invasion force on Feb 24, 2022 was 190,000 soldiers. At that time fully mobilized Ukrainian army was that same size. But Ukrainian reserves give current Ukrainian army size of 1 million soldiers

So even if Russia has 100,000 men left of original force with reinforcements
If we assume Russia is able to get all those 300,000 soldiers into Ukraine (not definite) they'd have an army roughly 400,000 in size. That would face Ukraine's fully mobilized reserve of 1,000,000 men. Russia is even then OUTNUMBERED 2.5 to 1. They cannot win

Trump wants his Extortion Files back. That was never happening. The Dept of Justice has seen all the files. If there is any crime going on with any of them, they have a legal search warrant which allowed them to take the files & even in Special Master filings said they keep copy Image
Trump also tries to get his attorneys to SEE the 103 Classified Documents. Why? Because Trump wants to be able to somehow get those back, any part of them, copies of them, even just some details from a few - that a lawyer could remember - so Trump can give his espionage CLIENTS Image

So the process DOJ suggests is that all documents are scanned. The scanned images are give for Trump attorneys to see and mark. They can claim privileges. If DOJ agrees, those will be handled as privileged. If DOJ does not agree, goes to Special Master Dearie to decide.. AND..
..and if any documents are returned to Trump... DOJ keeps a copy of the image that was returned. In other words any files Trump wanted to hide from investigators will still exist with investigators

Note several exclusions. DOJ says the 103 classified documents will not be shown
And only such personal documents will be returned that were not 'comingled' with stolen documents..

You can believe Trump kept his most valuable classifed secrets with same papers that were his most valuable secrets (extortion files) and Trump is not getting those back..

Tweeps? I want to post this thought that I have.. About Judge Dearie the Trump Special Master. I was curious WHY Trump Court Jesters asked for this as 1 of their 2 suggestions, the other was very clearly tainted

Here is my theory: Trump BELIEVES he has something against Judge
So we know Trump had collected his Extortion Files. And very likely DOJ has all those files. That is what this Special Master gambit was about. Trump needs to get his blackmailing evidence returned, so he can squeeze Republicans with it
Now IF Trump felt, this Judge Dearie is 'vulnerable' to Trump extortion ... that evidence would be IN THESE files

Can you imagine how Judge Dearie will react, when he SEES that material? Which may or may not be true. Which may or may not be about HIM (could be relative etc)

How real are those numbers we get daily?

Russian parliament, the Duma, has just passed a law, that compensates 271.5 Billion Ruble (2.7 Billion US dollars) to compensate for Russian soldiers who died in Ukraine this year. Russia thus admits 36,689 Russians died already in war
Note first, that this number excludes 'MIA' dead, ie Missing In Action (presumed to be dead) so actual dead count will be bigger. Partly explains why next year so much more will be paid. Secondly Russia will not compensate the Ukrainian 'separatist' terrorist deaths & mercenaries
Lets do some quick math

Original invasion army had 190,000 soldiers, 150,000 Russians, 40,000 separatists or mercenaries. So 78% of total were Russians

As Duma admits 36,689 Russian soldiers have died in Ukraine in past 7 months, divided by 78% = total death they know is 46,476
